The guy at the front desk was very friendly and very helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Rooms where fairly priced and dog friendly

First off, I must say that the gentleman at the counter was very respectful and helpful. The reason for my lower rating is dynamic. We waited a very long time to check in to our second room because the staff was completely not around. Although it was nice and clean, there were cosmetic damages to the doors. It's a convenient location, right on hwy 20, but it's not beautiful. There's no breakfast or 'warm welcome' feeling. Great for a quick nights sleep when on the road (assuming you can get counter service), and that might be about it.

Too too expensive for what you get. No breakfast, any.
Shower had the weirdest way to get the water to the top. I didnt find it, I call reception, nobody answered so I couldnt shower. I called 8am, not very soon. Then some problem with the printer so they couldnt print my bill.
No wonder why I was the ONLY guest.

I stayed last week in room 105. This rating is poor for these reasons; price is more than advertised, I paid $130.00. They made me feel uncomfortable while in process of checking in. The room was not entirely clean. The entire place was trashed with piles of broken heaters and old car parts in the back, the place also has random trash throughout the property. The bed was uncomfortable and lumpy. I wish I could post pictures. If you are looking for a place to rest, I would not recommend this place.

I had reserved a room with a king bed and requested a first floor room due to my husband having to use a walker and can not climb stairs. My reservation confirmation confirmed these 2 requests. Upon arrival, the front desk told me my room was on the 2nd floor. I explained no, that I had confirmation of the first floor. The front desk then said he would give me a handicap room on the 1st floor, I said that was fine. When I got to the room, it was not a king size bed, but a queen AND I ended up paying MORE than what I was told in my confirmation. Then the person at the front desk said I would have to come back up front in an hour to finish signing the paperwork! At this point, I have been up for 33 hours straight and was not happy about having to go back in an hour!

Did not get any sleep the heater/air conditioner was very loud and it was to light in the room. When we got there they gave us the wrong room that was not ok they then gave us the room we paid for. What a joke. Most everything was unplugged there were 2 small fridges only one was plugged in. They charged us $200 for the room when it was under $200 when we reserved it online. We will never go there again

I will say the rooms were very clean but the guy at the front desk was not very nice. I was really disappointed there was no pool, no continental breakfast and our room was really hot when we got there because they left the door open... The guy at the front desk was scoffing at me when I expressed my disappointment. We will be booking at the Tallman next time we're in Upper lake!

Our whole experience with this motel was disappointing. We spent less then 10 min here when we decided that we wanted a refund and left. The man who checked us in was unfriendly and unprofessional. When we got to our room the bed was not made, the room smelled of smoke, the carpet was muddy, and there was left over fast food wrapper spread out around the room. When we told the man the condition of the room there was no apology. He asked us if we wanted another room. At this point we decided we wanted a refund. He gave us the refund and said nothing more. I would recommend avoiding this place.
