OMG Nader polished and cleaned the watch so it looked brand new. He definitely went above and beyond. He's very reasonably priced, and I trust his work. He looked at my engagement ring and knew exactly how much it cost. This man knows his stuff. Please go to him for any jewelry or watch repairs. I'll definitely be back."

I walked into Mission Hills Jewelry for the first time about 5 years ago to have my wife's Movado watch repaired and have been going back ever since. Nader is kind of a throwback in that he is gemologist, can have any watch repaired and makes his own jewelry. I highly recommend stopping by his store first for whatever your needs are.
I have had watches repaired, jewelry made and it is always a pleasure going in to talk with him. If he does not have what you are looking for, he can also make it!

I brought my girlfriend's Omega watch here to get it fixed and have the battery replaced. She had gone to a jewelry repair in the mall and they had changed the battery.

What Nader at Mission Hills taught me was that if the repair person touches the battery it drains most of the battery. Also, because he watch was missing the clasp that holds it in place, the other shop person had probably used his finger while he taped it in.

This effectively finished draining the battery. The shop in the mall had then suggested the reason the the watch wasn't working properly was because it needed a cleaning. I told her not to go back there and thankfully we came to see Nader at Mission Hills Jewelry.

Nader goes through a 10 step process (which he educated me about - none of which I will remember) in simply changing the battery. I also learned he does forensic work for the court system.

He is our go to guy for jewelry repair going forward. It's important to go to someone trustworthy especially when you don't know what's going on inside the watch. Otherwise the shop can just end up charging you more money and you believe them. Thank you for your work Nader.

Mission Hills is a well run professional jewelry store. My family purchased an Ayad watch for a gift for me. The design of the watch is very unique compared with other watches I have. Mission Hills listened to the family's request to find a watch that was colorful and out of the ordinary. I love the personalized attention that I receive when I have needed to call about the watch. This family owned business truly cares about attention to detail in both their products and their customer service.

We have been buying jewelry exclusively from Nadar for the past 10 years. The experience is always pleasant and educational as he takes the time to find out what you really are looking for. The customer service and maintenance after the sale is excellent. I am always offered cleaning and polishing of my jewelry whenever I am there. I would highly recommend Mission Hills Gallery.

I went to Mission Hills to get my batteries changed on my old watch. Nadar was kind enough to remove the scratches and polished my watch at no additional cost. Really nice guy and has a great sense of humor. I highly recommend his services.

Do NOT recommend. Rude owner, terrible service. This store/owner only cares about selling pieces at arbitrary made up prices and leaving tons of margins, so if you are going to repair anything, forget it. The owner is "not making any money" from you and treat you like a nuisance. He thinks he is doing some volunteering service.

I went in to get a bracelet shortened (a basic chain bracelet), the owner quoted $15 and when I asked if it can be shortened from both sides of the bracelet instead of just one side (for it to be even), he quoted $30. I didn't want to pay any more than $15 (I was expecting about $10 for this small process), so I declined. He said he "is not making any money from this" (okay, sorry that I am not buying jewelry from you in which you are making a ton of margins) and that he "just want people to be happy" and that he would shorten from both sides for $20. I said no, I just want it to be shortened for $15, and he said "this is a really good price, but you don't know that" along with "I am not making any money here.. I have to use gold to do this.."

He didn't make me feel like a customer, and I could see that he had anything but respect for me because I only wanted a service from which he is "not making any money from". Uhm, I was quoted $15 for the job. He is making $15.

Once I came back to pick it up, I took out my credit card to pay. I even thanked him for being able to shorten the bracelet in a day. I was being the best patron I could be. I didn't haggle about the price, I didn't express a single complaint. Once seeing my card, the owner then goes, "Oh the minimum is $20". When I asked him "Do you need me to go get cash?" He replied, "I didn't tell you up front. So it's okay" as if he is doing some sort of huge favor for me.

I won't ever visit this jewelry store, and I advise any of you to go to others. Or shop online, like from Blue Nile. That's where I got my Mom's bracelet from. Because this store/owner only cares about selling pieces at arbitrary made-up prices and leaving tons of margins, so if you are going to repair anything, forget it. The owner is "not making any money" from you and treat you like a nuisance. He thinks he is doing some volunteering service.

Mission Hills Gallery provides exceptional customer service. I purchased an Ayad brand watch in 2010. Unfortunately, I tripped and the clasp got caught on the carpet, causing the clasp hinge to break. I live in the Midwest and tried to get my watch repaired locally, but the local stores did not have suppliers that provided a similar high quality metal as used for my Ayad brand watch. So I called Mission Hills Gallery for help. They explained how to package the watch and send it to California through Priority Mail. I had my watch back in the Midwest within a week, along with a personal note from Nader explaining the replacement of the watch clasp.
