Valhalla Faire in Tahoe was an unforgettable experience for my group of 5. The community spirit and energy from everyone who attended was truly incredible. We’re excited to offer mead delivery services next time, and if anyone needs help with logistics or trucking, we’re here to help. Looking forward to making the next event even better. Thanks Valhalla!

I want to start off by saying I appreciate all of the actors and workers that put their time, energy and passion into making positive moments for the overall experience. Green Knight crushed it in the final show on Sunday!

Sadly, it felt like more time and energy needed to be spent on planning and logistics for the event; specifically it felt like way too many tickets were sold for the space provided. Lines for food were impossible to stand in and actually get food in a realistic manner, the walkways were packed and chaotic, and I was swallowing dust that was kicked into the air throughout the entire day. On top of that, there was a serious lack of open areas/seating to meet with my friends and relax/enjoy our time together. It felt like ticket sales were prioritized over customer experience, and disappointingly did not feel worth my $28.

Exceptionally small and crowded. Only had a small handful of attractions. You're basically paying to get in and wait an hour for a lemonade or to walk around "window shopping". You can walk around the entire venue in 5 minutes, yet there's so many people stuffed in there it's horrible. The parking was also unacceptable. They kept taking over business parking lots, telling people there were shuttles. No one ever saw any shuttles. If I had to guess, there was only 1 shuttle and they kept expanding its travel locations. Local business were pissed that they were being invaded and no one could park to shop. Never again.

We came to the Lake Tahoe event yesterday, 8/24/24, and left after only two hours! The "free" parking was gone by 10:30am (event opened at 10am) and we ended up parking over 1/4 mile away. Then there was a twenty minute wait at the gate to show the tickets and actually enter the faire. Once inside, it was overcrowded and I was constantly apologizing for bumping into people. The final straw came when we saw the unbelievably long food lines. We ended leaving feeling like we were ripped off! The organizers of this event need to think long and hard before doing this again because it was a shambles!

This was so much fun, great entertainment all day. Well worth the cost of the tickets.

Only thing was crazy long food and drink lines, and completely disorganized (no idea what line was for what and where the line ended.

We never were able to buy any food. Posting some maps around could have been helpful. Not because it was so big, but because it was so mobbed

I was so looking forward to this Faire, I heard it was going to be similar to the Napa Blackpoint event which I really loved. They said in there site free parking and a shuttle, not true. The traffic was terrible, we where told no room in parking area inside, to go park at shopping center and a shuttle would come, but no shuttle we paid $50 to park at the resturant closer to venue UGH! Huge line to get in and it was so crowded you could hardly move, we left in less than 2hrs. We will never go again and felt ripped off. I wouldn't recommend you waste your money on this event, and food was not that great either. Very disappointed!!

Went Saturday 08/24/24.
I was so excited to go to this Rens faire. I have been a to a lot all over the country and this was the most unorganized event I have ever been to. Stuck in traffic for 45+ minutes after turning into the camp site only to be told there was no parking. Park outside the campground, walk 20 minutes, then wait in another line only to not be able to walk around without running into people, buy anything (food or items) due to lines. Left in less than 2 hours. This event did online ticket sales - they knew how many people bought tickets and they kept just selling more knowing people wouldn't fit. Seems like a money grab.

Really sad. I moved to this area and was excited to finally see a Rens faire near by.

Attended on 8/24 and it was the most disorganized event I have ever been to. I can be sympathetic to the fact that they were holding it at a new site and that they will have some issues to work out because of that. They addressed the event being overcrowded in a facebook post but I was disappointed to see that they failed to address the irresponsible and unsafe practices I witnessed yesterday. It was clear to me from the start that the event was oversold. I arrived at 10:30am, it started at 10, and the line to get into the event was insanely long, but it was moving really fast. I found out the reason it moved so fast is because they were not checking a single persons tickets or bags. I had my ticket pulled up on my phone prepared to show it to the man sitting in a chair at the gate, I held it up for him to see and he never once even looked at me. We were all told to keep it moving and to go inside. No one in my party had their tickets checked and everyone I asked throughout the day said the same thing. That is so unsafe and irresponsible! I can’t help but feel there were people there who didn’t have tickets and that there had to be people there who got banned items in since they didn’t check anyone. I left to go to my car and I asked if they had a stamp or something for re-entry. My hand was marked with sharpie but not a single person looked at me when I walked right back in. No one questioned why I wasn’t in line, or asked to see my stamp, I just walked right through the gate. My entire day was spent waiting in lines. I waited in a line for 30 minutes for food only to find out there was another line 3 times as long to wait in to pick up your food. I gave up and we all left early to go get food elsewhere. Even one of the vendors told me they did not expect it to be so crowded and we’re not prepared for that many people to attend, they said they were told 4000 tickets were sold. The event space was way too small to accommodate how many people were there. I hope they keep their word and make the improvements they have promised in their facebook post but they failed to address the lack of security and I am concerned it will happen again. This was not ever what I expected from an event that has been held for over 2 decades apparently. I have not attended this event in the past so maybe I was just incredibly unlucky to attend this day, I don’t know.
