Marcy! You are a blessing, I took in three necklaces that were beyond tangled. She is a miracle worker, and her hands are a gift from God! She took those three necklaces and she untangled them. She polished them and they came out looking so good. Better than they went in. Marcy, I cannot tell you how much I am blessed that I met you. I got to look at all your cool coins and learn about a lot of Carson‘s history. Which was really cool. I got to hold a gold bar which was really awesome. So if you ever get to stop into Carson, please stop in to Northern Nevada coin, because it’s not only a place to chat up the employees but it’s also a place to learn about all kinds of history. Great experience there. Walked in really not knowing much about coins. We were helped by Rod. Very nice guy. He spent a fair amount of time explaining the difference between proof set and uncirculated coins. We told him why we wanted the coins and he recommended the best opinion to go with. Which we went with.
While we were there one of their other employees believed he had a fake a Morgan silver dollar. They checked it and it was. So we asked how we can spot fake on our own. Rod explained the magnet test and showed how to do it. Then he showed how to check the weight and what it should weigh.
A big shout out to Rod as well as a big thank you.
We highly recommend shopping here for you coins.

We visited Northern Nevada Coin on August 21 and 22 where we were helped by Lisa Whitstone. She was very knowledgeable and informative, but more importantly she had patience as we are novice collectors. She helped explain the in and outs of coin collecting and made us feel comfortable with our final purchases. I would highly recommend if you visit the store that you ask for Lisa.
