Brenda is my favorite employee at 1414 University Ave. who always cheers me up and has brought me right to the product I want. When she gets surgery she’ll need financial assistance. Help set up a go fund me page for her. I’m hoping to have her stay with me. What fun. Healing and friendship. ?‍❤️‍?❤️

If you actually value your time, DO NOT SHOP HERE. They lock up FAR more everyday merchandise than any other store I have ever seen, which might be fine if they had staff standing around ready to open things for you. But every time I have shopped here, I've had to wait 10-20 minutes for someone to show up. Then you might have to repeat the process for the next item you need to buy.

I love this Target! I really appreciate that they have great parking and the staff and management are very helpful. Special shout out to Brenda!! I was looking for a particular item and was in a pinch. There were only three of the item on display but I needed five. Brenda and the management team went above and beyond to locate the item in backstock. It truly saved my day! I understand things are not perfect, according to some other reviews and it can get busy! However, the team here does their very best given any number of challenging circumstances and that's all I can ask for. I am grateful for this quaint Target serving the Berkeley community. Much gratitude, and thank you again Brenda and Team!

This store feels completely mismanaged. There are frequent errors with the self checkout and nobody ever comes to assist, leading to chaotic bunchings of customers in the checkout area. The housewares seem to get restocked only after the shelves have been empty for months. So many products are now locked in cabinets, and it can take multiple attempts to call an employee to assist. It's hard to imagine that anyone working at this store really cares about doing a good job and meeting minimal expectations.

Clean. That's about it. Lots of beauty and personal care items locked behind glass. No employees to help you. I spoke to employees and Was told, "I don't work this department but I can call someone". No one ever came. Ended up leaving without my product. Will never do this again.

Pat (I believe this is her name, usually working the register) is incredible. She deserves a raise and a promotion. She is always handling things, very kind, and makes everyone feel heard. Bravo to her!!

Nice Store but " UNISEX ' bathroom needs a " Reminder Inside " to Lock the Door from Inside.
Lengthy " Written Instructions Inside " referring to ' How to Unlock ' door to Exit ' Shadow All Else. I was on the John ,,and 2 times Folks tried to Enter - quite Sadly.
I wonder if there can be an ' Automated Electronic Locking System ' as a person Enters to Use the Restroom.
Not spent much time @ this Location.
Tried to find " Collapsible Laundry Hampers ' to no avail. No Dorm. Type Laundry Sacks eiither. Up Front Staff said " Try a Larger Store ". Albany - Eastshore...had ' em " !!!
A basic item - I wish they could add here. Students Frequent this Location !!!

I usually go to the Target in downtown Berkeley and it was always pleasant there, but today I had to come to this one for something I couldn’t find in the other Target, and the experience was horrible. The customer service was extremely rude, and this is what I experienced and witnessed:
Usually I would use self check out option, but some of the things I bought today do not have a barcode, so I had to pay at the cashier. I told her about the missing barcode, but then she just walked away without saying anything to me. After some clueless waiting, I found out she left to check the price. Meanwhile, it’s getting busier when she came back, she literally yielded at the customers to use the self check out system, but none of those machines were available at the time.
The way she treats the customers is so rude...
