Longtime lover of Truckee. Great ski town but comes with much more in adventures. Gateway to all things fun, biking, hiking, skiing and shopping await in the little town of Truckee.

This is great, but no taxi service when I arrived and a 24 hour station could save human lives, let's face it, if you get stranded in the wrong weather, you're dead. If your unable to walk, only come here during bus hours, not an option for most. Truckee is a town of tremendous wealth, let's help the helpless. Not an insult, a suggestion. I don't understand why the meek can't have bathroom access, if not the people will use the streets, welcome to San Francisco. Hearts over Cadillacs...remember, this is God's land, we are all caretakers of our brothers and sisters and our animals who trust us. We can't turn away. Much love and peace. Poor people like mountains too.

If you ever need a rental car at this Amtrack station, call the Go Rentals location in Truckee! They provide terrific customer service with complimentary pick up/drop off from the station in town, and they are open everyday.
