Very clean store, solid prices, pretty good on site availability of shoe sizes, unobtrusive staff-which is my preference (they are accessible but not hovering).

I like this store. It has a little bit of everything. The staff is helpful and if you are in the market for a yeti tumbler they have a huge selection. The amount of travel cups and mugs that they have is insane. If you are looking for camping supplies, sporting goods or even a gun in Warner Robins I would recommend a stop in to check them out.

Went in there to help my husband buy a hunting rifle. He has a carrying permit and it's not our first time but when we went there there was a young guy who didn't really want to show us the rifles and gave us an I pad to full the paperwork. My husband told the kid he has dyslexia and would need some help. The guy only kept repeating that he had to fill out the application by himself and no one could help him just read the questions. From our experience we had been able to go to other places and they've accommodate his disability without compromising the process. Very rude not ever going back again. And if you have a disability it seems like they'll most likely judge and not find solutions to help

They have a good selection, and a great gun dept. Bob at the firearms counter is a family friend and has been hunting and into firearms all his life and probably has more knowledge than the other gun shops in town. The only problem with Academy is the ridiculous checkout line. Its always a long wait and they refuse to work more than 2 cashiers at a time and the ones that are there are always slow.

They had some good deals on shoes, it takes time to try on shoes & you may need to go to the restroom, sorry to say the restroom was filthy, in my era one person was assigned restroom duty & it best get done or you had no job , sad part is customers complain of not having a restroom in the establishment & then they treat it like a trash can. I feel after awhile restrooms are going to be a thing of the past in establishments because folks don’t appreciate it.

Low quality firearms.most had uneven seams on the composite stocks. The high end rifles seem to be made more for collecting them than hunting with. Stock mounts were shabby and every bolt action hesitated . Most had burs and blemishes on the barrel. I was afraid to buy one as it might fall apart like a cheap toy that cost 1100$ . Not worth looking at anything but ammo. Staff was 2 people a young guy with a beard who was clueless and a older lady who just stared at me and said nothing.

Legit, everything I needed was here in the store. I went in for some simple things and ended up buying a gun safe that was $400 off the original price with free delivery. They often have good sales on end of year clothes. I wish they had larger size kettle bells but thats what Onnit is for.
