I was walking down State Street and just popped into the Apple Store as my phone wasn’t charging very well. I didn’t have an appointment but they took care of me cleaned out my charge port and the phone works great again. Everybody in the store was super nice and they were very nice to my dog, which is the most important thing. you can’t go wrong at the State Street Apple Store!

Very limited parking, and inferior service compared to other Apple Stores. However, the product displays are comprehensive and useful. Their in-store stock is very good, and I didn’t have a problem getting what I needed, even though it is the holiday season.

I’m not a big fan of the Apple Store experience and this store hasn’t helped. Get greeted awkwardly upon arrival; sent off to a table to wait endlessly for assistance while many free personnel just standing around; staff trying to be too cool and couldn’t really care less about customers. Super frustrating and endless time wasting. If I can avoid the store I try; online so much better but sometimes you want to see and touch the item before purchase.

My third time in this store and service and experience so poorly as always . Always trying to upsell even if you just trying to fix something minor !!! Are they salespeople or technicians? Either way they do both jobs horribly !! Such techniques of selling don’t apply any more . For god sake just fix and repair the initial problem . Manager just useless without not any options for the repair but happily recommend to buy a new phone !!

A battery replacement can be done by any amateur technician but this workers are just robots repeating what they are been taught !! Upsell upsell !! Lazy bastards !!

Apple carries a special machine so the screen won’t break but they insist that the screen could break and they were not responsible !!!

It was super clean, lots of employees to help, and I did get my old phone wiped. It did take longer than expected but I was content.

All the other reviews are true! Weirdly the worst Genius Bar ever. Waited 30 minutes after my appointment time and was ignored until I “reminded” them. My previous appointment they told me that my AirPods were no longer under warranty and so could not be replaced - despite my screen saying they were still under warranty. I went to another Apple Store in LA and suddenly my AirPods still were under warranty and I got replacements for them. There’s no reason they’d purposefully lie, it’s not like they get commission or gain from being hostile/inconsistent with customers, so I’m wondering if it’s a training or overwork issue? Either way, I’ve learned my lesson at this point and I’ll stick with every other Genius Bar!

Reading the reviews from 7 years ago and people describe the exact same issues of being ignored for 30 minutes, weird hostility, inconsistent answers compared to other Apple stores etc - so perhaps it’s a management problem?

Talk about HORRIBLE customer service. Bought a charger from this store a month ago because they no longer provide chargers with their expensive products and paid good money ($130) for it only not to work. Apparently they don’t care because it’s past the 14 day return period. Both managers Alexis and Travis were rude and said they would do nothing for me repeatedly. No apologies and no concern for customer service for their products. I would go to Best Buy or pretty much ANY other electronics store over this store ANY TIME if I were you.
