I needed a part for my 20 year old washing machine. They had the part for a reasonable price in stock. So I was able to purchase it and replace it myself that day. The clerk was courteous and helpful too.

How sad to arrive at a business that is open to the general public and because you don't know the language they don't want to serve you. I arrived and asked if they spoke Spanish. I understand a little of the language when they talk to me but I don't speak it well. So I just asked if they spoke Spanish and the answer was from a white man, already an adult, approximately 60 years old, who serves the place, he told me that we are in China and I said I speak Chinese. I asked him again if he could help me and he said again in response do you speak Chinese? I told him no and just left when I saw that he didn't want to serve me. I don't know how they don't understand that it's difficult for you when you haven't been here for a long time and you don't know the language, wanting to buy something and because of your language they don't serve you and they treat you that way is really very painful. Right now I'm using Google Translate for this writing. I couldn't give more than one star to this racist business.

Love the fact that they have all the parts you need to fix any appliance. Very put-off by their corrupt business practices. Had an issue with my washer. Discussed with them. They convinced me that the $40 part they are going to sell me will fix the problem, when I (someone who doesn't know anything about fixing and rely on YouTube) told them I needed some other part. I trusted them, bought the part, installed it and the problem was still there. Went back and discussed the issue with them. They then sold me the part I had originally gone in to get after watching the YouTube repair video. Spent another $55. Tried to return the part THEY convinced me to buy and they said they could not give me refund because I had open the package and installed it. What a scam artists they are! They do have everything in stock, BUT DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE GOING IN. They will trick you into buying non-refundable items.

Been ordering from APD for several years for our apartments, stoves, refrigerators, range hoods and all parts. Never had a problem with getting the correct order, that is a common problem with other vendors we used. Only wish the drivers would not be in a hurry to drop and drive off without waiting to check out the unit to make sure all is ok. Overall ...highly recommend APD.

Called ahead and verified they had the part for my Kitchen Aid dishwasher. Picked it up over lunch in less than 5 minutes at a great price. Can't ask for better service.

Now to install the part and see if it fixes the problem. If it doesn't that will be my problem, not theirs as some other reviewers have claimed.

Part of the joy of fixing your own appliances is diagnosing the issue and getting the right part. Great when it works out, but expect sometimes to make a mistake.

I did have bad experience with Appliance Part distributor (APD) Fremont. My refrigerator stopped cooling, freezer side was working. I called APD, Brian told me to change damper assembly. I bought damper assembly from them for $69 and replaced the part myself. That didn’t fix the problem. I called them again and they gave me technician phone number and asked me tell technician that APD referred. I called that technician he came to my home fixed the problem in 20 minutes charged me $145. I went back to APD to return the part. They refused the return saying that they won’t accept the return of electrical parts. I requested them a lot and even asked to give me back 50% money because the part is useless for me. He started arguing with me saying that I know part is non-returnable and I am lying.
If I would have known that part is non-returnable then I would not have purchased it first place. I purchased the part based on his advice. The long story short that he didn’t return the part and it cost me $145 + $69 = $214 to fix.
