Such an adorable place with TONS of variety! Helpful and welcoming staff. I am not a crafter but went in to buy Christmas gifts for my daughter. I can't wait to take her to this newly discovered place.

Absolutely wonderful shop with beautiful notions, a lovely mix of locally sourced fiber and yarn and more mainstream brands. Employees are helpful, knowledgeable and attentive. I wish this was my local yarn shop!

Best yarn store I have been to yet. I love this place because it is very welcoming and they are open to questions. I have been to other places and always feel somewhat judged. This place gives me community/family vibes.

A beautiful store with lots of yarn and friendly service. Update 2024: last week I went in and described a pattern which had been on display in the past. The knowledgeable sales person quickly found the knitted sample and recommended current yarns for my review. I am very happy with my purchase.

I stopped by this shop last week with my son. AMAZING SHOP, AMAZING YARN, AMAZING STAFF!! We were greeted as we came in the door by a young man that works in the shop. I'm sorry I didn't get his name, but he was so very helpful and NICE! The other ladies in the shop were just as helpful and reminded us to "touch" everything. There was a large table set up with quite a few ladies working on projects. Each and every shopper was greeted as they came in the door and the shop seems to be an important part of the knitting community in this neighborhood. They had a wide assortment of yarn, including baby camel/baby alpaca. LOL I will definitely be going back the next time I am in Albany.

I love my trips over to Albany to visit Avenue Yarns. They have an amazing selection of yarns and are very reasonably priced. The sample garments that they have on display are inspirational. Great selection of artisan style buttons too!
