Blick Art Materials

Great store to buy art supplies. Conveniently located. Good selection and 2 for one deals sometimes. I notice a lot of Bob Ross products for sale , like “ Bob Ross air fresheners” ( please don’t stink up your studios with these, just don’t use turpentine)! and l don’t know the upshot with the controversy over his estate, but hopefully these profits are going to the most deserved parties.

Best art store in the Bay. They put customer service as their #1 priority. Also a fun place to bring kids even though this place is also for the advanced artist.

I gave them a couple of stars because the actual work was done well. But the customer service has a lot to be desired. I was told my picture framing would take 2 to 3 weeks and probably closer to three weeks. So at three weeks and one day I called them. The person who answered the phone looked up my order and said “I see this was due yesterday, I have it here but I haven’t started it yet. Is there a reason you need it now?” They hadn’t started yet? Seriously I assumed the reason it took three weeks is that they had to send it out. So that means it was just sitting there for three weeks and they didn’t bother with it and acted like it was no big deal. The correct action would have been “we are very sorry that your framing isn’t completed on time we will have it done ASAP.” And maybe even the offer of discount for their mistake and lack of follow through. None of that happened, and it took them two more weeks to do a simple frame that cost three times with my painting cost. I just remodeled my house and I’m putting up all new artwork. I won’t be returning to Blick for any of my needs.

Dick Blick is the largest chain in the Bay Area for drawing, modeling, design, and painting supplies. No matter what you need, whether it’s for a hobby, study, or professional work, you’ll find the precise item at Blick. The stores are huge and located all over the Bay Area. I visited the Berkeley location to get special Canson papers and brushes that my daughter needed for one of her architecture courses. The most important thing is that the entire Blick staff is always ready to help you find what you’re looking for, and they do it with a smile. Don’t hesitate to visit them if you enjoy these kinds of supplies.

Store has just about everything. Recent started doing colored pencil drawings. Went there for some specific supplies. They had everything and then some so much in fact, I was a bit overwhelmed. Finally got what I needed though. Staff friendly and helpful. Place was pretty busy (Saturday afternoon). Street parking in neighborhood only. Definitely a place for all your art supplies.

An artist’s dream store! Plus, they have things for everyday people who want frames, colored pencils and markers and other craft items. Plus, the employees are super nice here.

A blackhole for artists! I can spend hours and here just browsing through their wide selection of art supplies. I took their Resin Geode class and it was so much fun! They were very generous with the supplies that were needed for the project. Very helpful Ann's friendly staff.
