Had to give them 2 stars it makes me sad to even write this review considering the fact that they fixed my phone when I receive my phone back 2 days late from the day that they told me to pick it up at I noticed that now have a phone that has no audio I cannot listen to music no notification alerts, videos or have my phone on speaker and that was not a problem before the only problem that I had before was the cracked screen I would go back and address this and have them fix it but I don't want to be without a phone again for another 3 days so I'm going to have to deal with it. I paid $140 to fix one issue and have another. Do ur research people.

I went in today ( 3-11-24) after being a return customer, thinking this is the place to go after getting superb service previously with other devices .
I have had an intermediate issue with my iPad Pro 11 not charging .
Getting an error stating that accessories aren’t approved ( or something of that nature )
But green charging icon would not come on at all.
I had already exchanged my iPad at Apple for a like model ( for other issues ) after calling them to troubleshoot this issue now they want 569.00 to do it again (exchange) screw that noise .
After going in to Drop Smash, as it seems to always happen when you take something in for repair , it charges at the desk..
battery showes it was good on tester.
the gentleman a young Hispanic kid ( I’m 68 , but by no means stupid when it comes to electronics) so everyone is a youngster to me lol.
To top it off I’m a cancer survivor and because of that I have a severe speech impediment , so I’m a bit difficult to understand .

He seemed knowledgeable and suggested that I purchase a different charging cable and or charging block. Since it worked at desk.
Cool I’m down with that .
Even though all my chargers/blocks are from Apple themselves . They “could” be bad .
I get home , irated to say the least, plug in to my existing cable set-up and it works . Damn !
So thinking even though it tested fine, maybe it is in fact battery and call him back .
This is within 30 minutes of my visit .
Ask him what he thought , mind you I was there for 45 minutes trouble shooting this over the counter.
I ask him, do you think it could be battery and if so can I order one , I’ll give you my credit card info and you call me when it’s in.
I don’t want to drive all the way back to Ventura from PH just to have you look at information you already have on your computer .
And “if” you need , I’ll read off model number, serial number , send you a picture .
Whatever .
I’ll give you my payment info, you can run it to make sure it’s good .
I’m NOT asking for reimbursement for cable I just bought.
Just to order a battery .
I get the biggest run around , well I need to see it.
Why I ask, you just had it in your hands for over 30-45 minutes .
Lets order battery I by all means will NOT hold DS responsible if this doesn’t solve the issue.
After back and forth this kid hangs up on me after me asking to speak to manager .
Kids , absolutely no respect and if I was 30 years younger .
Well that may have not been in his best interest to speak to me like he did and then hang up.
I’m older now, and wiser , and have learned to select my battles carefully .

I know this it going to get reviewed . And I do like the work ( I’d swear by it ) from the owner .
But his help has tons to be desired

Call me if you value repeat customers .
I text better than speak because of reasons stated above .
But if you’re patient I’m understandable .

My wife says after getting the response I got over the phone ( he hung up on me ! ) why would I trust someone to work on my electronics ?
I’m thinking the owner can’t be everywhere at once and I’d give them another shot.
I don’t want anyone but the owner working on it, I know he’s honest, and knows what he’s doing.
This is a small business and I believe in patronizing your neighborhood business’s in lieu of big companies .
I’m giving (1) a one star review now because of my recent visit, but they so deserve a “4” or a “5”It just goes to show you that employees don’t care how they represent you as long as they get their weekly hours on the time card .

Wow! I am so grateful to be living walking distance from these guys. I bring my iPhone in to have it looked at and Dylan is there to help. He was super personable and very knowledgeable. He even was sharing with me tips about how to work with my current condition of my phone as is! He was able to evaluate what was going on and definitely provided an incredible customer experience there at the shop. If you are his manager, please give him a pay raise. He's a fantastic employee to have representing the shop. And he is an asset to the company for sure.

TERRIBLE service. A TWO WEEK ORDEAL. 9-2: needed a new screen for my Google Pixel 3XL. Not in stock. They ordered it and said it would arrive 1-2 business days. They required full payment up front plus $50 "special order labor" fee. 9-9: I heard nothing so I called for status. Was told the order didn't go through. They reordered and will be shipped overnight. No apology. 9-14: I went to their office and said I want my screen; getting frustrated. I was given the FedEx tracking number that I am expected to follow up with. I asked for $50 fee to be refunded. He'd ask manager. 9-15: tracking number shows it was delivered to them 5 hours earlier that day. I did not receive a phone call. I drive to their office advising THEM my screen had arrived. Asked about my refund: "Unfortunately we can't; that's our profit." They did replace my screen in about an hour. I felt like their employee. I unloaded my dissatisfaction about the terrible service and was told to "Have a nice day."

Bad communication, no follow-through, not the best customer service, they’ll tell you what you want to hear face-to-face but their actions are different.

Went in to get my iPad replaced and they had to order a part, which was fine. I communicated to them that this was my main register for my business but about a week and a half later I went in because I hadn’t heard from them yet. And I was told that they had broken a piece inside and so they would have to have to send it out to a different place expert‘s to get it fixed and was told that would take another two weeks or so. It took about a 2 months and a half almost 3 months to finally get them to return my iPad at which time I said I didn’t want it and that I wanted my money back for that repair that I did not get and I wanted the iPad to get replaced. I did not think that was more than one was deserved in this scenario. Emails ignored calls ignored to management. I’m not sure sure what else to say besides not satisfied not helpful and you’ll be the judge

No Fix and kept my $187! I obtained 3 quotes to replace screen on my Galaxy Note. DropSmashFix had lowest rate. Frank told me screen had to be ordered, would be fixed in 3 days and that I needed to pay FULL amount up front (which i thought was odd). Over 1 week later still not fixed. Turned out it is a CAN'T FIX. I also was told Mgr had to refund my money back. Thankfully I insisted on getting it in writing. It's been nearly 2 weeks, NO REFUND & NO reply to my f/u inquiry email. Now I've opened a dispute w my cc company.

In my opinion: NOT A GOOD WAY TO DO BUSINESS... GO ELSEWHERE-save yourself the hassel!

DropSmashFix = AwesomeThankYou! Seriously, if your phone breaks this is the only place to go in Ventura. Not the mall. Nor any of the other dime a dozen places. These guys are total pros. They are fair. They offer strong guaranties and warranties. And the craftsmanship is mighty crafty. The employees are down to talk tech talk with you and know what they’re doing for sure. Thank you especially to Joey! Hope we don’t need to fix our phones again any time soon, but if we do, we know where to go!
