Used the app, which I think can solve problems. Empty spots late morning. The 350 kw charger was working fine. Right next to Smart and Final and Vons so it’s easy to do a grocery shop and charge.

This location unlike any other place didn’t automatically recognize my vehicle and needed additional verification through vehicle app. Like all other electrify America charging stations used, power transfer was below 150KW using ultra station even when the only car at the station.

It's tough to ever give an EA station 5 stars, and that's not changing here.

That being said, it's refreshing to not have to wait in line, and to have empty stalls from which to choose when you inevitably encounter the non-functional tower. I had 3/4 working on my last visit. The nearby Vons, the snack shop in the gas station mini-mart, and other nearby amenities are also a plus.

If you are rolling up or down 395, though, I still recommend this one if you need juice on your way to Mammoth, or if you want to skip the stop at the Coso Junction station as you head south.

Took a while to get the charger to start and one of the 350s was not working. Electrify America customer service was very helpful in getting the charger up and running.
Charging areas should be better lit, it feels quite unsafe late at night.
Area has good food options/services.

Weird arrangement of stations. Of the 4 stations, 1 was not working at all with visible computer code on the screen. Another station had the CCS handle busted unable to lock in to you car. Another station (350) was fast but you had to use the 2nd handle. The handle on the left (#1) was giving an error. The final 150 station was working. Starbucks inside Vons. Dogpark a 7 minute walk 3 blocks away with water for the dogs. Your elevation goes up 4000ft to Mammoth which is 43 miles away. Mammoth has limited stations if you are not a Tesla owner so this station needs to quadruple in size very soon as EVs get more popular. There is plenty of room in this parking lot.

Nice charging station and location... plug-in and stroll through town. As with most EA charging stations, results vary wildly from unit to unit. We had good luck here.

If I could give this station a zero start I would. Every time we charge with electrify America we have to call support for one reason or another. Most of the time the issue is resolved but we shouldn't have to call every time we charge.
