As my husband, daughter, and I strolled into the store, we were instantly greeted by a warm smile from a gentleman named Benjamin. His welcoming demeanor set a positive tone right away. My husband was looking for comfortable shoes suitable for his job, and Ben seemed to have an innate understanding of exactly what he needed.

That day, we left the store feeling triumphant, having purchased three pairs of shoes for my husband—each one crafted for comfort and style. Our daughter chose two delightful pairs that she couldn’t wait to show off, and I indulged in a cozy pair of Uggs that promised warmth on chilly days. It was refreshing to encounter someone as kind, friendly, and knowledgeable as Ben, who took the time to assist us while also warmly greeting every new customer who walked in.

The store was spacious and organized, boasting many footwear options that made browsing a visual delight. I appreciated the cleanliness and tidiness of the place, which made for a pleasant shopping experience. We left with not just shoes but also a sense of satisfaction, promising to return for another visit.

My father was visiting from out of town and was looking to buy new shoes. I looked up this store and took him. He found exactly what he was looking for and he said he had the most amazing sales person ever. He said he took the time to find him the right shoes for his size and would not give up on him and there were other clients waiting. He was extremely impressed. His name is German. German was so great today at helping me find the perfect shoe! He sized my feet and understood what I wanted when I described the style I was going for, and things I didn't like etc. He was also very patient and brought many stacks of shoes for me to try until I could find The One! Walked out wearing them! Highly recommend coming here to find your next pair of shoes! 👟

I asked a sales associate if the Oofos were good for seniors, and she said that because of the high amount of cushioning, they aren't great for people with balance issues. I really appreciate that she was honest and prioritized my grandma's safety over a sale.

I'm really impressed with German, he knows his shoes extremely well. In maybe 10 or 15 minutes, he helped me try on a handful of different shoes, and he was super quick and attentive. When I said the arch was in the wrong place, he found the right insoles to adjust it, and because he knew his inventory so well, he found shoes that didn't have that issue. He listened and understood what I was looking for, and he ultimately suggested the shoes I ended up buying that day! Definitely go see German, it was the best shoe-buying experience I've had.

I drove all the way up to San Mateo to visit this Footwear Etc because they had the shoes in stock that I needed. German was my customer service professional. He was outstanding! Once I saw the selection of shoes at this store I really got excited and wanted to get more than one pair. Even though it was busy, German was knowledgeable, patient, and kind. I tried on many shoes -- and ended up with four pairs plus inserts-- and I love them. Great service and great selection!!

Fantastic shoe store that reminds me why online will never replace shopping for shoes in person! I need shoes with great arch support, and found some great new brands I would never have tried here. Turns out that my feet feel best in sizes 1/2 to 1 size up from what I am used to. Love my new running shoes (Topos) that make me excited to get outside, and a new pair of super supportive summer sandals! Staff are so helpful and make the shopping experience so pleasant. Smart, nice, and considerate. Very easy to fear-monger and push things that you don't need. Have been here twice and each time, their sales reps made sure to review the prescription from my podiatrist before measuring, sizing, testing, and giving recommendations. Huge, huge props to the nice gentleman who noticed me wearing a mask and asked if I'd be more comfortable if he wore one too.
