Such a great addition to the neighborhood. Have consigned a few pieces of gear, and love finding essentials for my hiking and backpacking adventures. Staff is super nice and knowledgeable.

Really awesome store. I was looking for some secondhand ski gear, and they had a lot of great options for skis. Unfortunately no boots fit me (I have a pretty unique sizing so that's not a problem lol) and I got suggested the correct people for that. They really care about what they do, and i love it. Customer service is on point, and there absolutely is tons of secondhand gear you can buy here. There were tons of great options for skis for me, and there most definitely are still great options for boots at great discounts.

One of my favorite outdoor stores on the east side… it reminds me of my old days in Asheville… And they even had one of 2nd GEARS stickers on display. It’s such a small country. I know there’s a connection between the towns based on beer, the outdoors, and music. I remember when the owners of The Admiral in Asheville opened their doors advertising that they were bringing the Portland vibe to Appalachia… 3000 miles of the American dream is all that separates most of us.

Foster outdoor is a dream. They have all the best outdoor brands, new and used. We've purchased hiking poles, rain jackets, knives, hiking boots. Everybody there is very friendly and knowledgeable, and always available to help out. Also, make sure to check out the upstairs section! There's a good selection of used shoes and other items

A terrific addition to the development of Foster as a destination. The store doesn't look all very large as you enter, but there is a second room that expands the space (and the inventory) significantly. Service was friendly, and I was surprised to see how many options there were for something I've always considered to be a niche product (snowshoes). Both their new items and the variety of consignment goods were impressive. Service was friendly and knowledgeable, just what you would hope for in a neighborhood business.

This store is friggin cool! They had exactly what I needed and the staff was very helpful. If I wasn't visiting out of town and lived nearby, this store would be a PROBLEM for my wallet! Their used gear area looked like it had tons of good stuff. I wish I could have shopped longer and got more stuff.
