my friend and i went to go by hoco dresses. she found one she liked and on her way to the dressing room she found another that she liked a lot better. Just as she was about to go in dressing room the lady snacthes it from her says its more prom than hoco (its our senior year we wanted to go fancier) than offhandedly goes its not your size anyway. as a note we are both hispanic and until my friend chose a dress the woman ignored us.

HORRIBLE service. My daughter (Black) and her friends (white, Black, and Latina) were shopping for dresses to wear to another friend's quinceañera. First, the staff were side-eyeing all the non-white girls and whispering to each other. When my daughter was in the dressing room trying on a dress, an associate started banging on the door, yelling that she was taking too long, and insisting on "helping" her tie the straps. She did so, told my daughter that the dress was pretty, then ordered her to take it off. My daughter went back in the dressing room to change back into her clothes; as she was changing the woman barged into the dressing room and insisted on "helping" her undo the straps. She noticed my daughter's insulin pump and asked what it was. My daughter told her, and the woman told her that if she lost weight, her diabetes would go away. MY DAUGHTER IS AN *UNDERWEIGHT* TYPE 1 DIABETIC! She also didn't let the non-white girls try on more than one dress. One of the other girls (Black) wanted to try on a quince dress, but the woman yelled at her and told her it wasn't her culture. We will NEVER shop here again, and will actively discourage others from doing so.

TLDR: harassment of a child; harassment of a disabled child; racial profiling; discrimination

This store needs to be investigated. There are WAY too many comments that support the awful experience that my niece also had today where she was profiled by a staff member and was barged in on while getting dressed. A child. Their staff walked in on a child getting undressed. Then made a snarky comment about her health after pointing out the pump she needs for her diabetes. This behavior is disgusting and should not be tolerated. DO NOT SHOP HERE!

I purchased a BEAUUUUUTIFUL long red "Jessica Rabbit" style dress June 2022 and I had a WONDERFUL experience! the sales lady was super nice helpful and funny. I was feeling really nervous about which dress to get, she could tell and immediately gave great suggestions. her sister came in the store a bit later and they both helped me pick put some super cute costume jewelries to COMPLETE THE LOOK!
There where some Highschool age kids who came in the store with food and drinks and were loud and touching on things. I do not think the kids meant any harm but she Quickly and sternly (not mean just stern) told them to leave. and that they had to have an adult come in the store with them. I know some folks would be upset with that but I understood she has to protect her merchandise. not so much from theft BUT damage if they are mishandling things

I do not recommend this place. Extremely rude owner. I went in looking for dama dresses. I found one that was similar to another dress I was interested on the other side of the Del Amo mall. She overheard me talking to my daughters about the minor differences and she was immediately upset. I told her I hadn't committed to the other store, and proceeded to ask her questions about size, price, etc.

The owner's attitude got progressively worse telling me that he stole her design that the dresses in her shop were all designed by her. Which I know isn't true (Go to DTLA). Than she told me good luck getting the dresses I want that they won't be good quality and it will be bad business and kept laughing. Which was odd considering she didnt even know what store I was talking about in the mall. How do you run a business and not know other comparable suppliers near your business? I found her to be extremely off-putting especially considering I told her more than once I hadn't committed to purchasing from the other supplier and was showing interest in buying the dresses from there. Needless to say, STAY AWAY

I wasn’t going to write a review but decided it was necessary after hearing all the relatable reviews. Im going to leave an honest review and bring the awareness about how awful this place treats their customers. I visited Glitzy in del amo mall for my birthday and two of their workers of Asian decent body shamed me and made me feel really bad about myself I literally left crying. I came in to purchase my prom dress and really wanted the dress displayed on their window but they told me they weren’t even going to waste their time and get it out of the manequin because it wasn’t going to look good on me. They skinny shamed me and even told me that I wouldn’t look good on some of their dresses because I had no cleavage or curves and laughed while saying that. As a brand you need to be inclusive and diverse that’s why your store is always so empty and have the same stuff just holding dust. It is horrible how unprofessional they are and provide a unsafe environment. I do not recommend Glitzy at all and wouldn’t want this to happen to any other girls. And Glitzy you really need to rebrand and change the way your employees treat others.
