I have been choosing Harbor dive to expand my knowledge and skills in scuba diving. As time passes, it keeps assuring me that I am in good hands. I have seen how well structured their curses are, how well they manage with students from different learning abilities and age range, how knowledgeable and friendly the staff is, and that there is passion behind everything they do.

The guy working was either extremely socially awkward, really didn't like me, or didn't want me in the store. I thought service would be friendly from the other reviews, but was just awkward and weird.

Myself and several friends of mine got certified through harbor dive. Micheal, the scuba instructor, was incredibly patient and is extremely knowledgeable about his field. Mike and his dive masters made the entire process comfortable and fun. The rental equipment we used for our certification dives was in great condition and very clean. Additionally, later when we came back to purchase our own scuba gear the sales process was perfect.

There was no pushy up sales and Mikes ability to point us toward the right gear at the right price really went a long way. Even though I have moved from the Bay area I plan to stop by when I visit to get my gear serviced and purchase new toys.

I just completed my PADI open water certification with Harbor Dive Center and I am oh so glad I did! All of the instructors here are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. I struggled with some of the skills but they patiently guided me through them and provided one-on-one support when needed. I was quite nervous about the open water dives but with Michael leading the way, I was able to complete all the dives and had a lot of fun. Now I can't wait until my next dive! Special thanks to my instructors Dev and Michael, and to Michael's guacamole for fueling me.

I went to Harbor Dive with the desire of becoming an instructor. I became a Divemaster and Instructor with them in 6 months!!! In the process, I learned that, compared to other dive shops I've been to, Harbor Dive's professionalism and course structure goes beyond.

For my instructor course, I thought I was going to be training in California...silly me! Harbor Dive took us all the way to Mexico to train for part of this. I even got to see my first Giant Manta there... I will never forget the great time we had and the support that was given to me by Nina, Michael, and Dev. Thank you.

Harbor Dive is more than just a scuba diving training center, it is a community of curious and fun loving divers who are constantly looking to improve and learn from each other, all the while promoting a friendly and encouraging atmosphere.

There is now a Tec Diving department at the shop, and more advanced courses are available for those who want to take their skills beyond recreational level, and master the techniques required to extend your depth and time under water. Join the adventure!

Great passion and knowledge for everything SCUBA.
I got PADI certified and later bought all my gear here. Rental gear is high quality, all the instructors are very good. Highly recommend
