Today I stopped by the store to look at a watch. I was greeted by Ashley Ellison. She treated me warmly and cordially. She showed me the watch I was interested in, and answered all my questions completely. She also gave me a tour of this very beautiful store. I highly recommend visiting this store and working with Ashley!

People who work here are rude, classless, and unprofessional. They lower the Hermès name to the ground. If your hours are set and you close at 6, then you should let people in till 6. Hire people who don't mind staying a little longer to help. There were 5 of us in line at 5:25, the security guard came out and said we can't let you in and that they close at 6. Then I stated that we drove over an hour to get there. Then he rolled he eyes and said, "This is LA. we all drive an hour to get to places." I was caught off guard. Then he talked over us and asked if we could let him say what he needed to say. His approach was horrible. Then, he purposely lied and said he'll make an effort to get us in. We saw zero effort. 10 people walked out, and zero people were let in. He wasted our time. This is Hermès and this location treats customers like peasants. About 10 more people came to stand in line. A supposed pretentious "manager" came to speak with us, and he was worse than the security guard. What is going on? Everyone in line got extremely pissed. Let mind you that it was only 5:45. A lot of the stores around told us that they always get complaints from this store. Everyone in line was trying to buy Mother's Day gifts, and we all got screwed. This store needs to be boycotted unfortunately it won't happen. Thank you for ruining our day. Come on Hermès you can do better than this.

I want to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with the treatment received from employee(s) at the Hermes store in Topanga location. The level of entitlement displayed by your staff members is simply unacceptable and has left me feeling disrespected and undervalued as a customer. On numerous occasions, I have reached out to one of your employee via text message to inquire about products, only to receive a response two days later, if at all. It is disheartening to have to follow up multiple times just to get a simple acknowledgment of my existence and my request. This lack of basic courtesy and professionalism is truly disappointing.

Furthermore, when I visited your store in person, I was made to wait outside as if I were some sort of second-class citizen. The general atmosphere of the store exudes an air of exclusivity and superiority that is off-putting and unwelcoming to customers. No one should be made to feel like a "peasant" while simply trying to browse or make a purchase at a retail establishment.

I believe that the behavior of your employees reflects poorly on the brand and is in dire need of correction. It is imperative that corporate management takes immediate action to address these issues and ensure that all customers are treated with the respect and dignity they deserve.

I sincerely hope that you will take this feedback seriously and make the necessary changes to improve the customer experience at your Topanga store. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

UPDATE: After exchanging numbers with Ashley I notified her that I like placing phone/text orders with SAs as it’s easier for me not to drive to the store everytime. My current SA was out on medical leave and it was going to be a while. She assured me that all of her clients do that and she’d be happy to assist. A couple of days after my initial visit I texted Ashley with an item in mind and inquired about ordering it. My text went unanswered for 4 days. I received a text from her 4 days later letting me know that she had fell ill and is now back at work. I apologized and told her that I wasn’t aware and that I hoped she was feeling better. Then proceeded to ask about the item I sent her. Her reply was that she will work on finding my size. Didn’t hear from her regarding that specific item so I decided to message her regarding a pair of shoes that are very easy to find because they’re always in stock.!These shoes were even available online but you know the Hermes Game is to shop with the SA directly. She responded the next day letting me know that she will look. Then the day after she replied that they don’t have my size in store but she can order for me. I immediately replied “yes, let’s order please” and continued with a request for a follow up on the previous item I inquired about that she “was checking on” and completely disregarded. She did not reply. The next day I messaged her again and told her that I understand that she may be busy but if she didn’t have time for a new client it was completely understandable I just need to know so I can contact someone else. She then ignored my concerns of her not getting back to me on time and proceeded to text me “are you able to come in?”. I, giving her the benefit of the doubt yet again, messaged her that I was hoping for an easier online transaction. She then told me that for an item that isn’t physically at their location I would have to come in to the store to place the order. I replied letting her know that I can come in on Monday and if 1PM works for her as I understand she might have appointments with other clients. That was the last interaction I had with this person who did not even acknowlegde my message, me as a customer. My text was ignored so I just did not go in to the store. For a sales associate who earns commission on sales not to be phased by the fact that she just simply doesn’t care about a client is where I draw the line. I simply refuse to spend my money with someone that doesn’t value my business yet to have them earn commission on my purchase. Some Hermes employees really need a reality check. You’re a sales associate yet you handle yourself as if I need to chase you and bow down to you when I’m the one paying for my purchases LOL get a grip!

Initial visit: Had my very first experience at this specific location today. Needless to say, my sales associate Ashley was such a delight to shop with. Very happy that I now have an Hermes location close to where I live. Will definitely be my go to!

Absolutely beautiful boutique and architecture. Most importantly, staff was exceptionally kind. The assistant manager, Sam was friendly and greeting customers. The store manager- I forgot to get her name- assisted with a return again being understanding and kind. The Sa, Michael was lovely and extra sweet with my shoe purchase. Had a great shopping experience!

This particular Topanga store has the worst customer service /SA's that I have encountered . They are disrespectful and the atmosphere is very unwelcoming. There is some sort of entitlement once you walk in there . These SA’s need to be taught proper customer service they forget that we are all customers and you don’t know who came in and wants to give you the business. This needs to be addressed immediately! We spoke with one SA first a male, he rolled his eyes and treated us like “peasants “ he didn't want to assist us with buying shoes ,as if he is above that. We then Connected with Eva who was helping us with shoes , we bought two pairs and continued to stay in touch , she pretended that she was nice at first saying oh I'm not like everyone else ,I don't need you to buy a tone for me to offer you a bag. Mind you I don’t n is why she even said that .She then would not answer much and when we would see her in person like to buy perfume or other items ,she seemed like we were wasting her time . We then came in again and stood in line to buy shoes and she pretended as if she didn't know us . We connected with another SA Tomoko ,who helped us that day seemed nice at the time. Few weeks later, made an appointment with Tomoko. We came 10 min early , she saw us and we told who ever was at the door we had an appointment so they told us go to the right side . Tomoko was finishing up with a client and we thought it would be our turn , she then ended up taking people from the walk in line . Again she confirmed our appointment, walked by us many times , spent over 35 min waiting for her and no one walked up to us to help . We ended up leaving she never came back to us . She text me later saying that they were backed up with appointments. That's absolutely not true she clearly took people from the line that didn't have appointments, she could have came up to use and said , hey sorry running late . But nothing . I text her telling her exactly how I felt and she said , sorry you felt that way( gaslighting). I will never again step foot into this Hermes in Topanga again. They are rude, degrading , and prejudice.

Thank you for an amazing shopping experience. Manager Natalie and my SA Adolfo are both very knowledgeable and helpful, best customer service ever. Gorgeous boutique, wonderful ambiance. Best luxury shopping experience in Los Angeles!

Go up
