Had the best experience this summer at the Hi Desert Craft Rock Shop!! They have a wonderful selection of stones and accessories. The couple that owns the shop are very knowledgable and helpful. The prices are very reasonable and the quality is excellent. I will be returning for supplies in the future for sure!

**Update: I actually meant to give Hi Desert Rock Shop a 4-star review, and had accidentally marked it as a 3-star. The owners are very knowledgeable and helpful, the prices are very fair. I made sure to visit when I went to Lakeview and was glad I did. My only complaints were that the location was kind of hard to get to without the sign assuring that you're supposed to go in the back building, and that many of the items did not have prices listed - at least, not when I went in. I still really recommend dropping by and checking it out.

Nice shop. Full of rocks and gemstones from all over. Employees are knowledgeable and know all the areas to hound. They have maps and books full of locations and how to's. Will be making multiple trips here as long as I'm in town.

This place is a gem! See what I did there They have a huge selection of reference and guide books specific to the area and the western US, beautiful lapidary work, and rocks galore. If you are anything like me, you will love their little museum wall. I could have spent hours looking at each and everything in the cases and on the wall. If you want to see a polished slab of Biggs jasper, they have it. Blue obsidian, green jasper from Hart Mt., Graveyard Point plume agate, rhodonite from Oregon, you name it! This place is a must for any rockhound passing through Lakeview! I will be back next time I am in town.
