Simply the finest leather product I’ve ever owned. I wanted a nice western styled leather belt and holster for one of my revolver pistols. I’ve seen the cheap cookie cutter Chinese made ones and I knew that wasn’t what I was looking for. I contacted Matt and we discussed several ideas that I liked, so I let him run with it. The result is fantastic. He produced a great looking, cowboy styled, holster with pistol belt, and belt loops to hold ammo. Everything about it is first class and there’s none like it anywhere. My father passed away unexpectedly at the age of 55 in 2017. I was recently going through my parents house and came across my dad's old leather briefcase. It was a nostalgic moment as I have fond memories of him coming home from work or trips with that briefcase over his shoulder.

It was in rough shape, with broken zippers, no shoulder strap, dry rotted and definitely old. The phone pocket on the side of the briefcase is designed for those old Nokia brick phones!

I reached out to Hooks in hopes of seeing if it could be restored back to some type of usable condition. Matt and his team took on the challenge and did an amazing job.

In a world where just about everything is temporary, disposable and easier to replace than restore, it was refreshing to know that some things can still stand the test of time.

Cheap work ain't good and good work ain't cheap. I've seen the leather sides they get in stock and my only problem so far is he's not been in business long enough to really build up all the tooling he will one day need. This shop so deserves your support and I hope he finds the niche he needs to operate long enough to really have the store find it's feet. If you're after a one of a kind or few and far between gift you'll be able to get one here. Hey man if you read this then just know that I've asked you about a few things and talked about some projects to gauge your interest and I wish you'd get behind taking on some custom work right now. I really would like to see you do something for me on a big scale. I considered buying the leather to take to you just to see if you'd take a chance...
