While on vacation my grandmothers 1.5 year old portable oxygen machine failed with a system error. Phone support said it would take 3-5 days to ship a replacement. This isn’t a freaking iPad it’s a medical device and should be treated with a bit more urgency. No pick up options and the $65 next day delivery option doesn’t work over weekends. DO NOT RELY on this company because if your source of oxygen fails, they don’t care.

I called Inogen to replace my particle filters on my Inogen G3 concentrator. Their operations manual show 2 different styles of particle filters but their website only sell replacement particle filters for one type. Their customer service representative had me read my serial number to her. She said they no longer serviced my type of G3 concentrator so no longer sold replacement filters for it.

My complaint is Inogen manufactured & sold this expensive oxygen concentrator that is only 10 years old but no longer makes the filter for it! Medical equipment manufacturers should continue to make parts for medical equipment they manufacture unless they recall it or it becomes obsolete. But my expensive G3 concentrator operates just fine.
All I need is a replacement filter.

Also I don’t really understand why Inogen manufactured two types of G3 concentrator with very slightly different styles of air openings and particle filters! The air opening & filter for both could have been the same from an engineering standpoint.

The customer service person “disconnected me” rather than forwarding me to someone I could make this complaint to as I asked to do. That is why I am writing this review.

The photo attached shows my G3 Concentrator with the type of the particle filter I need on the right and the only type of particular filter they still sell on the left.

I have been a happy customer for many years with inogen, but i am no longer happy with Inogen. I recertified 3 times. I currently have their inogen one G5 with no other option, according to them. I am very unhappy and have told them so. Battery has no lasting power, which is a really big disappointment, especially when they advertise how easy it is to get around. Unhappy searching for another provider currently.

I am sharing my husband's experience with the Inogen portable product. He is very pleased with it. We purchased 2 batteries and each one lasts 4 hours with his use of 4 liters of oxygen. The portable oxygen he received through Medicare only lasts 1.5 hours at 4 liters of oxygen and this was not acceptable. His only complaint is that it's a bit heavy - but we knew the weight of it before purchase. Our salesperson was magnificent to deal with and was very patient with us. We would recommend the portable oxygen.

I am very pleased with the compactness and design quality of the Inogen G5. Was easy to start using and just keep using - changing back and forth between batteries. It is heavier than I would like, but that is more than compensated for by the increased mobility,. Carrying case is also well designed for easy use. Fits my relatively sedentary lifestyle very well. Will work on more moving.

I purchased the Inogen for my wife because she requires oxygen all the time. We go out often to church, dining, visiting friends and family, day trips, travel, shopping and other adventures. The Inogen is light weight and last for about five hours. Plus we purchased to two extra batteries with it which gives her fifteen hours of oxygen. This is more convenient than hauling oxygen tanks. At first contact Aron was very helpful and has continued to be so.

The complaints I have is that there are no store fronts to go purchase this item and it is considered a luxury product so our insurance will not pay for it. However, we do consider the Inogen worth the cost.

I bought my Inogen G5 over a year ago and it's been one of the best purchases I have ever made for myself. Being able to be out & about without oxygen tanks following behind me has been priceless. I bought the unit, extra batteries, chargers & it's been so worth it. I highly recommend this product for anyone that is on oxygen & has things to do outside the home,
