I absolutely love Knitting Hive. This is such a beautiful yarn store, and it’s so much more. The owner, Kellie, is kind and helpful. As a new knitter attempting projects that are a bit out of my reach, so always there to help and talk me off the ledge when I get frustrated. She’s extremely encouraging. Knitting Hive has such a lovely assortment of yarn, including yarn that is locally made and sourced in Utah. The staff is amazing and always helpful. I have taken two classes. The beginner hat class is great for a brand new knitter. The sweater confidence class is a good way to learn everything you need to know about sweater construction. I’m so glad this beautiful store is right in my neighborhood, but it’s worth the drive if it’s not right in your neighborhood.

Good selection of locally dyed yarn and the friendliest staff I've ever met. Great selection of many weights of yarn and tons of amazing cute notions. They also sell goodies to gift non-knitters, like luxury chocolate bars and fashion accessories. Must-visit local yarn store in SLC!

I wish these types of places were more common! They were experts at knitting and crochet and the yarns they carry! They were eager to help me with picking a color to finish a shawl I had started with a different mulitcolored yarn. I overheard them teaching another customer how to do a specific stitch, so they seem like the place to go if you have ANY knitting or crochet questions. I think they had a few different yarns from Utah (they were brands I hadn't seen in Texas or online anyway)

Great variety in selection, although mostly fingering weight or lighter. Gave me some good brands to search for online! They will ball up your yarn if you want it done, but I have all I need back home to make cakes, and I prefer a tight wind on my cakes!

Much excitement with a new yarn shop in town! Great selection and the hours are great. Being open on a Sunday is a major bonus for me. Nice people in the shop with a lot of knowledge and the yarns are beautiful. Can’t wait to return again!
