Labcorp's turnaround time for lab results is significantly slower than its competitors. It could seriously harm their reputation and customer trust if they don't make improvements soon. The staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming.

My dr emailed a lab request at 10:00 am, I went there after noon to drop off a urine specimen, they made me wait 30 min to ‘verify’ the order and claimed they didn’t have the order. Surly staff and unprofessional. Will never go there again.

UNBELIEVABLY SO DISORGANIZED. Yes, they’re still transitioning from Westpac, as they said early this year, but the office organization is very poor. The person who was in the reception said that they can’t get any information because they can’t access the system. Doctors would normally fax the orders, especially if it is a “standing order” for months. But every single time I go to this facility, they’ll keep on arguing that they don’t have the orders and it should be written in ink and not the doctor’s handwriting to make it legal!! This is the 4th month that I came to this facility and every single time they will say that they don’t have the order when every single time also, they will always get a copy of the whole order. All the time, they will say that they have problems with their printing machines and they cannot keep any record. Today, they said that they don’t have INK!! A SPECIAL INK IS NEEDED FOR AN HP MACHINE!! It’s been 4 months of the same ridiculous nonsense of an administration.

This lab (formerly Westpac Laboratories) was apparently bought by Labcorp. The location in Atascadero is a collection of three buildings with no map. Finally found the office (the most eastern building). No expense was spared in the creation of a 8"x10" piece of paper stating "Labcorp" taped to the door..no mention that this was formerly Westpac Laboratories. This facility requires self check-in at a kiosk with a tablet. One fundamental criteria for this to be successful is for the kiosk to work properly. When an employee was informed that the kiosk was not working properly, the response was "sometimes it dosent work". Having previously worked in a position where I evaluated process improvements, it appears to me that the staff has not been trained. The staff also seems to be constrained by the software, as they were unable to accommodate any requests. Its easy to lay blame at the workers in these situations, but more than likely they are struggling in the environment their owners (Labcorp) has created. Unsurprisingly, Labcorp has a slick, colorful, information rich website...unfortunately the website can't take a blood sample, and people Ike these employees and the public are left to clean up the mess.

Their Atascadero website reads closes at 3:30pm, the facility actually closes at 3:00pm….when I state to the receptionist it reads closes 3:30pm, she assertively says not here and read the sign in the door that reads closes at 3:00pm…will administrators please change the closing hours to 3:00pm.

Hurt pretty bad when she took my blood. I have never bruised like this ever the only time I have bruised like this is when I have had to have multiple draws when being in the hospital.

I recommend this location. It is a nice office, and in a great location. I have bad anxiety with needles and blood draws. Maria did a wonderful job with my blood draw, and she was very supportive during the process. I will definetly be coming back to this location the next time I need labs done.

The check in lady is a total c u next tuesday, balding with salt n pepper hair. Didn't care to find out a name since I left and am not planning on going back.

Edit: After leaving LabCorp I found Pacific Diagnostic Labratories, literally a walk away at 1050 las tablas suite 10. Not only were they super super friendly but attentive and FAST! Staff should at least be friendly before they're about stab someone with needles. Seriously. So glad I left LabCorp and didn't return!
