I'm OBSESSED with this place. We're in Truckee every summer and this is one of our must stop shops. We went twice our last trip 😂 we love their hats, shirts, sweatshirts, stickers, jewelry, everything basically! Great store, worth the stairs!

Staff is incredibly friendly. Every time I visit my parents I stop by to grab a graphic tshirt, hat, or my favorite brand of overalls. Lots of phish and dead merch as well!

Me and my family visit our son in Truckee each year. We visit the Mtn. Frk. store each time . Very cool merch and friendly staff every time we've been there. The screen prints are sick and the hats too! We like and would recommend this store. We are from Alabama love the Truckee vibes.

I was happy to find this eclectic store until the owner/buyer overcharged me $8+ for a blacked out $6.99 Heartbeat Tahoe mask. She flat out lied to my face when she said she charges what the company charges her. BS!! A little Google search revealed that even the Heartbeat Tahoe website sells the same masks for $6.99 and I've seen multiple stores selling them for $6.99. So either everyone else is deciding to donate money to the cause to keep us all safe during the pandemic or the owner of Mountain Freak Boutique is profiting from the pandemic!! Hmmmmm......Unfortunately, I will now order online all the clothes I planned to buy here in the future. I love to support our local brick and mortar shops....but refuse to support an owner/buyer that flat out lies and pilfers from her customers in the midst of a pandemic!! SHAMEFUL!! NOT the Truckee vibe you get at first appearance of the store.

Afternote: In all fairness maybe this owner had a legitimate reason to raise her price higher than everyone else's....if she told me the truth I'd still be a customer
