Nice friendly hosts so long as you follow the site rules. Quiet time at 10:00pm - Nice well kept sites. Clean restroom & showers. Most sites have electrical, water& cable hookups however several of the lower sites that can flood in the winter do not have sewer hookups. The site we were in did not have sewer hookups but they do have an on site dump station to use when you leave.
The little town of lakeside is just about 1/2 mi. back down the road in case you forget anything like we always seem to do on our camping trips which is also nice.
lovely place will definitely be back soon!

We've been going there for over 15 yrs. Always had a great time. Sites are clean and we have plenty of sunny and shady areas on our site. Very friendly staff. Never want to give up our reservation!!

There is absolutely no shade in this campground and it was hotter than you know where this time when we were there. But, the lake is gorgeous, the wildlife is amazing and we had a great time.

I recently moved into North Lake Retreat! I had the best assistance from two beautiful girls that I dearly love!! They are so helpful and made me feel at home and very safe here!! They have both been sweethearts and so helpful for me to be excepted here. Everyone has been a God send to me. I would tell anyone looking for a great clean and safe place to come here! My apartment is so great and very clean and well maintained!! May God bless all of the staff here!! I am looking forward to a very long stay here God willing!!! Thank you ladies, you are a God send to me and my family!! Happy St Patrick’s Day to all!! I can’t thank you enough!! All my love, Darlene Covert

Long story short my family has been coming here for over 40 years (I’ve been coming for 11 years myself) and we are done. Tired of the ran down/nasty facilities and the rule nazis, we won’t be back. We’ll be going somewhere else with more freedom and better facilities from here on out.

My husbands family has been coming here for 30 years. We have chosen to continue the tradition and still have family gatherings and bring our kids here. It seems as though every year there are more and more unpleasant experiences.
This year we were surprised to see that parts of the campground were overgrown and inaccessible. There was only one beach for swimming (usually two) and it was only a very small portion that had been maintained. The horseshoe pits were almost gone, we thought about bringing sand in ourselves!
The office staff was very rude and short with us and our children- they like to get ice cream from the store. The WiFi is only available in one spot near the office- there is also no plug ins and no one was available to get us the password.
There were other things that we have noticed that diminished over the years. We are very sad to see the customer service and experience swoop as low as it is. We are reluctant to return, even though there is so much family history and memories there.
*Would probably be great if you are over 65, it really seems like they cater to and are more tolerant to that demographic- they have expanded their long term spots (while limiting the others) so maybe they are transitioning into a retirement/long term only park.
