Avoid Optimum at All Costs – Absolute Trash If you value your time, money, and sanity, stay far away from Optimum Internet. I’ve never dealt with a worse service in my life. Constant Outages: I get less than 50 mbps on a good day. The connection drops all the time, and their tech support is useless. Nightmare Customer Service: After HOURS on hold, you get a clueless agent who never fixes anything. They lie, pass you around, and then do absolutely nothing. Overpriced Garbage: I’m stuck paying premium prices for internet that barely works. Plus, they constantly hike up the price with no explanation. Old Equipment: They give you outdated, broken gear, then charge you for the privilege. The Wi-Fi barely reaches 10 feet from the router. Optimum is a scam. Their service is awful, their customer support is a joke, and the only thing they’re good at is taking your money. Do yourself a favor—avoid them like the plague.

Got internet at our cabin about 4 months ago and we’re struggling with intermittent internet throughout that time. Had several techs out who replaced the modem, recalibrated everything, and eventually they re-did the entire drop to the house. Huge shout out to Nyesha at the call center, Rob who first recognized it was a drop issue, and Stephen and Emil who did the drop replacement yesterday. They were fantastic. Nathan - sucks. Refused to do the drop, then promised to come out on Monday. Didn’t show. Promised it would be done by the weekend, didn’t show. Texted, called, nothing. Very thankful Stephen and Emil came. Optimum credited our account $60 for the issues and all is fixed now. In a mountain town where service is difficult and the elements are a factor, very glad there is at least an option and that they were willing to send out technicians and get it all done.

Optimum is the best! The Installer "Chris" was super helpful and knowledgeable. He troubleshooted my Internet issues and installed a new modem. He also added a second cable box in another room and pick up my old modems for me. This was nice because I didn't need to FedEx them back. In addition, his Supervisor "Danial" later stopped by to assist him. It's nice to know they are helpful to each other too. I certainly appreciate both of them and all they did to help me resolve my additional cable box and Internet concerns. Thanks so much, John Benson

Alisha Cooper was very helpful in getting our internet speed question resolved. A tech showed up at 8:00 am the next morning. The tech was very knowledgeable. He tested the internet speed and showed us how to get better use out of our WiFi router.

I just started using Optimum's internet service, and so far, the experience has been very promising. He was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and took the time to address all my questions and concerns. His professionalism made the setup process smooth and stress-free. While I’m still getting to know the service, I’m confident that with support like Jayce’s, I’m in good hands. Highly recommend Optimum based on this initial experience!

My internet technician, Dave, provided optimum performance, while educating me on the details of cable internet. Of course im only reviewing him so he can get some pitiful bonus, and now ive read the other reviews and realize customers have mostly negative feedback. I guess we will see how it goes...
