Pro-Tint is local and decided to give them business because they know what they're doing. If you live in SoCal, tinted windows are a must. The nonstop heat we receive each year is ridiculous and if your car has leather seats, tinted windows will prolong the life of those seats from harmful UV rays. Unlike some other businesses are first come first serve, they accept appointments and will give you a reasonable time frame.
One caveat that I should mention is that when I took the two cars to get windows tinted during Covid and the employees here had their masks off or wearing them on their chins while installing tint on cars. When entering the business, the lady at the front desk (Jasmine) didn't wear hers either until someone (me) walked into the building. Even before vaccines were offered, I saw it on both occasions (dropping off and picking up) that masks were not worn properly, either not wearing it on wearing it on their chins. I assume they don't want to wear it or hinders them while working on the cars but I honestly believe the owner should make it a priority that his/her employees are safe and following protocols. All I can do is make note of everything since it's their decision not to do it.
If you plan on getting your tint here, I do recommend sanitizing everything in your car just to be safe. Also, when I picked up my Subaru and Toyota, there was a small piece of a blue towel was was stuck by the front windshield and the windshield pillar. There was also trash that was left behind by the passenger door. I don't mind throwing it away but I wished they looked carefully that nothing was left. If they give you a pickup window time of 2-3 hours, it may be longer. I dropped off my car at 12:15 for a 12:30 appointment, was given a 3-3:30 pickup time. Jasmine called me at 5:00 asking if anyone called me to pick it up, which no one did. They she told me that it's ready for pickup. So there are small things that irked me, which is why I gave this place 3 stars. However, this business still did what they're known for and I'm thankful it turned out great. I just recommend some improvements internally.
To give you an idea of how much you might pay, when I first brought my Subaru Outback here May 2020, I got my front windshield tint (3M Crystalline) for $250. Couple months later, I had to remove it because Subaru of American needed me to remove it in order to fix an issue with my vehicle. I came back couple days ago to get the same exact tint installed on my front windshield, yet they charged me $329 (including tax). I have no idea why the price increased for the past 11 months for the same windshield. The rest of my windows for my Subaru was $733 (including tax) for 3M Color Stable. For the Prius Prime, It was $318 for all windows, using 3M Color Stable.
