If you’re a hobbyist you’re fine but if you’re a professional, I would not recommend Red Finch Rental. I ordered a lens at 8am and didn’t get it until 11:15am.

I understand that someone returned it late and it’s out of their control and I normally wouldn’t be upset about that. But what i cannot understand is they didn’t give me an eta of 10am until about 9:40am. And the rep didn’t even seem apologetic. After waiting another hour not hearing from them, I reached out a 2nd time and they finally gave me an eta for 11. Would they have even come if I didn’t reach out again

It felt very unprofessional and even the “sorry for your wait” felt forced. They’ve lost my business from here on out and I recommend you take yours elsewhere.

I luckily didn’t lose a client today but easily could have.

I had a great experience working with Red Finch Rental. Adam was clear and responsive in his communications. The team made sure all the equipment was tested and ready to go when I arrived and gave me a brief tutorial on wireless mics and speakers. Pick up and drop off were smooth and straightforward. Equipment worked well and I would work with RFR again!

Unfortunately, had a really bad experience here. I know nothing about cameras, and rented a 'camera kit' to be used for proposal photos a few weeks ago. The camera "kit" does not come with a lens, making it effectively useless (as a result, we had to use our phone cameras instead). There is a description of what is included in fine print on the website; however, I do not believe it is very obvious there is no lens, and I believe labeling it as "kit" is slightly misleading. I do understand that more experienced camera users may know they need to rent a lens separately, but for us novices, it would have been helpful to have an obvious indicator in the description. Sadly, the lack of lens was NOT the worst part of the experience...when I went to return it, the store employee was extremely condescending and disingenuous, kept interrupting me when I was trying to express my concerns, and didn't seem to be listening or care at all. I suggested that maybe they should ask customers if they need a lens when they pick up the rental, to which he cited "being too busy on a Friday to talk to customers" and "not knowing my life story" - these are not acceptable excuses for poor customer service. I also requested that store management reach out to discuss the matter further, and expressed my concerns in a customer satisfaction survey - neither resulted in any outreach by the store, which is disappointing but can't say I'm surprised... Overall, would highly discourage this place for anyone other than an expert photographer, because that seems to be the only type of customer they care to accommodate. There are certainly better places to give your business to.

Red Finch Rental as quickly become one of my favorite go to places to rent anything for video or photography. Seriously awesome pricing so it's something I wish I had when I was back in school, but I'm happy for the current college students.

Anyway, it's perfect for what I need with my business now. The team is always amazing and seriously passionate about what they do. You can tell they are truly trying to help the video and photo community here and it's been awesome to see them grow. I think they have a location in Salt Lake, but I use the location in Orem, but they both are awesome.

My step daughter is getting married...it will be a family affair. Her cousins will be the audio mixer, videographer and photographer, her brother will supply the music and I will be the officiant. But I've left out a very important part...Red Finch Rentals, who have treated us like family. When it came to a/v, Red Finch had the solution to the knotty problem of no power at the wedding site. They had great rates for 1st class wireless mics and kind, wonderful people to make this happy family moment magical.

The past year or so of renting from Red Finch, I've always had great experiences even with last minute orders. Tony is attentive and always happy to talk shop and answer any questions regarding equipment. He has been making this place reliable since he's been brought on.
