WOW!

Just picked up my new custom Schaper board and got out to Hale'iwa Ali'i this morning. Caught basically everything I went for and it handled like a dream!

Carl and his team are extremely cool, helpful and full of information and absolutely CRUSHED the shaping and design of this board! It instantly became my favorite!

I HIGHLY recommend checking out Schaper Hawaii if you're in the market for a new board. This a true shaper's surfboard shop, not an apparel store.

On top of all that, their ding repair guy is an absolute wizard!

Most "surf" shops in Hawaii are selling t-shirts and logoed schwag to look at while you eat your shave ice . . . The staff won't know much about surfing. They might have a few boards on a rack but good luck. This place is the opposite of that. THIS IS A SURFBOARD SHOP. They make and sell surfboards right there. I have a few Schaper boards but had never been to the shop. It exceeded my expectations. The staff and Carl take their time and know every detail of every board. Absolute pros.

100% recommend Schaper. Very friendly, knowledgeable staff. They patiently answered all my questions. They made my board custom. They weren’t afraid to call me through the process for follow up questions to make sure they got it right. And they got it right. This board is exactly what I was looking for and performs 10x better than my previous board. Wish I came here sooner.

Place feels like home, helpful staff that are are truthfully knowledgeable about surfing and surfboard construction. Almost 50 years of shaping experience in a really charming location with an even more charming staff. I only surf Schaper boards after years of surfing simply because they are the best boards money can buy.

Staff was amazing to work with and help me get the perfect board for my height weight and skill set. It’s amazing how much my board works with me as I surf now. I always felt like I was fighting either not fast enough when I needed it or sliding out on bottom turns.

Now it’s all connecting. Great inventory and board selection for Northshore waves and conditions.

Recently I purchased a brand new Mayhem Lost v2 short board from Schaper. They gave me a great price on a sweet surfboard while providing terrific service.
