As a dumb and bald tourist, I arrived in town in the winter without checking the weather, and needed a beanie to protect my (mostly empty) skull. Thankfully, as soon as I walked in, the employee immediately clocked my situation and pointed me in the right direction. There was a nice selection of Tahoe and Truckee branded shirts, hats, etc. A good amount of the items I had not seen in similar stores around the lake. I walked out with a nice purple Truckee tee and a very touron looking beanie that matched my shirt. The employee was lively and engaging. The prices were standard for the area.

I am writing this review to be honest and hope that whoever owns and operates this store will see it and help their employee that was working there today.
Honestly, this store gave me one of the worst souvenir shop experiences I have ever had.
My husband and I went into this store today looking for some souvenirs. The selection of shirts and sweatshirts is not great, but they do have some that I’m sure others will like. We found a couple of ornaments and when we made our way to check out at the register and pay for them, our experience went horribly south.

The female employee working at the register was in the middle of an in-depth story with the poor customer in front of us in line that seemed like she had been listening to for quite some time and honestly looked annoyed.
My husband, in an effort to help the customer leave with her items she had already purchased, placed our ornaments on the register for the employee to ring up. In the middle of the employee’s story to the customer who was still listening, the employee looked at our items and then looked to my husband and said, “wow, y’all are cheap!”
My husband looked at me in complete shock that someone in a business would say that to a paying customer, and we didn’t know what else to do but pay quickly and leave.
The employee then rang up and began to wrap each of our ornaments in bubble wrap, then decided to put both ornaments together so that she “could save the other bubble wrap for the next customer who needs it.”
We were honestly so stunned by the entire interaction that we just had to walk out before it became more uncomfortable.
Long story short, we do not recommend this store when shopping in Truckee.

We ended up purchasing a crew neck from the store and have been very happy with my purchase. It was a bit on the expensive side though. Souvenirs usually are I guess.

Very well kept store with a great selection of shirts, magnets, mugs and a few other things.

I would likely see more things relating to the town of Truckee, most everything is Lake Tahoe related.

Personally I enjoy enamel pins.

I bought 3 pairs of matching pajamas for my Grandson's on 12/23/23 . The salesperson told me that I could exchange them if I had the receipt. My son took the pj set that needs exchanging in with the receipt yesterday 12/28 and they said no. Tags still on the PJ'S. I tried to call them today. No answer. It

Hours of operation are not accurate. Says 10-6 but we arrived at 3:20 and lights were off and closed sign was up.
