The Container Store - Corte Madera, California

We have reviewed shelving systems and come to realize the best value and most practical solution is the elfa system offered by The Container Store. We worked with Matt Habecker at the Corte Madera location to customize two closets. We were very impressed by his command of their design center software as he designed a very functional solution for an odd sized space. This process took almost three hours over two trips … and the entire time his focus was our satisfaction. Thank you Matt!

Order was missing at pickup. Someone had to repick all the items for a closet which took a little bit. When getting home, we found the rods and top tracks were not cut to proper length. Store says they properly fulfilled order properly, but the system was messed up, not taking any responsibility. “They’ll be happy to cut if I bring my items back to the store” ?‍♂️ Also a very rude cashier who butted in when I was working with a store associate to match the pick list with items given, asking us to move somewhere else/hurry up

Good location, though selection can be somewhat limited. Big space, but plenty of the same items over and over. Prices are fairly high, but quality is okay and staff is friendly. Overall a good option if you're in the area, but don't go out of your way to visit here

What is going on with container store? The store used to be the paragon of retail. Now when you visit the store the shelves are half empty, and there are boxes and handtrucks everywhere. I’ve called the closet design line 3 times in the last week to try to design the closet and still haven’t gotten a call back. I went into the store to wait for a design expert but finally gave up after 30 minutes. I wonder if they on the verge of going out of business? They sure seem to be operating that way.

Updated 11/26/2024 I am lowering to ☆☆ star rate because the cashier was giving me a hard time buying a floor sample since the item I wanted was out of stock. The floor staff was helpful, and she said that it was okay to buy the floor sample. I wasn't even asking for a discount. Never going back even it used to be my favorite place. Past Review: ☆☆☆☆☆ This is my favorite place for shopping for my business supplies needs. From storage to packing boxes and more. Friendly staff. It is a few of the closest ones from the Central Valley. Family-friendly environment. Great location! Clean and well organized store.

This store is a hot mess. Missing cashiers, missing online orders, missing stock. Makes it hard to support local businesses when the disorder and lack of professional services is so glaringly obvious. Waited weeks for an item I was charged upfront for that never showed up, and no updates provided. I had to make an extra trip in person to the store to get it resolved. Wasted money, effort, and time.

Ah, the Container Store in Corte Madera, my haven of compartmentalization! ? I must say, this place truly understands the art of organization. As someone who believes that everything should have its designated space, this store is my nirvana. The variety of boxes they offer is staggering – from tiny trinket boxes to colossal storage bins, they've got it all. It's like a dream come true for anyone who loves to compartmentalize their life! But wait, it gets better! The closet design center is a game-changer. Crafting the perfect closet layout is now an obsession, thanks to their innovative solutions. It's like creating a personalized, tidy kingdom for your clothes. Now, let's talk travel and kitchen gadgets. My wanderlust heart leaps with joy at their selection of travel organizers. And oh, the kitchen gadgets! You'd think I've entered gadget heaven. If you've ever dreamed of having an organized, efficient kitchen, this is the place to be. What surprised me most was how pet-friendly they are. The sight of a section dedicated to pet organization made my heart melt. Fido and Fluffy will be ecstatic! One little quirk though - there's a constant, rhythmic banging from the ceiling due to a gym above. It's almost like they're trying to tell us something, maybe that we should get in shape after all that organization! In conclusion, if you're a fellow aficionado of the organized life, the Container Store in Corte Madera is your nirvana. It's the ultimate destination for those who believe in the beauty of boxes, the power of compartments, and the serenity of an impeccably organized existence. ?️

As an organizer I have been shopping there from day one, I call it my hardware store. The Corte Madera staff are awesome, always helpful and ready to turn a mistake right especially Sunni, Vicky, Sheila and more! Make sure to double check when picking up your Elfa system that it is all there. We are fortunate to have this store in our area!
