The Potlatch

Very cool little spot in Incline to pop into. Prices are high, but definitely didn't expect the inside of this place to be as nice as it is. Looks like a small boutique shop from the outside, but it has some really well-made ladies curios to peruse through. Definitely worth it to pop in if it's your girl's type of thing.

I love potlatch, one of the few good rustic stores left! They have a great selection of everything from wallart to candles! Their stuff looks great in my cabin!

Terrible experience! I would have purchased these pretty earrings I saw, but instead of being asked if I needed help or even greeted, the lady said to me, “if you are looking for earrings there are some more economical choices in the corner”. Such a rude remark, assuming that I don’t have enough money to buy $300 earrings… right after that another lady rudely asked if I needed help, as if to pressure me to leave the store. Didn’t end up purchasing anything. I probably make more money than them too….

The Potlatch is an amazing local gift shop! They have a wonderful selection of items, from jewelry to home goods and everything in between. The staff is friendly and helpful and they have an excellent selection of unique and handcrafted items. I've been to The Potlatch many times and have never been disappointed. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a gift or something special for their own home.

The ladies were so welcome and friendly! They took time to help us find what we needed AND gave us their insider recommendations for stuff to do and food! They didn't disappoint! We will be back and we will come visit Potlatch again!

I come here every year when I visit family; I always find the best birthday, house-warming, and kids gifts. They have a beautiful selection of jewelry; I never leave empty-handed!

The store is nice and beautiful but someone told me to put my bag next to the front door. Was a little bit uncomfortable. As a foreigner I carry passport and sensitive documents. I had to hold everything on hands since female clothes don't have many pockets. The products are enchanting. Lots of Tahoe souvenirs and home decor. Lovely.

Beware of The Potlatch return policy. In very fine print on your receipt, it says "No refunds. Store credit only." Not only was I charged $40.00 over my purchase, but the zipper on one of the sweatshirts was broken. The store manager, worked this "policy" as much as she could, & after what seemed like a half hour of me arguing, complaining about the rude employee I had during the purchase, being overcharged $40, I kept insisting that none of the managers options were acceptable to me,...I wanted a full refund, she finally gave in. They need a large sign in the store indicating NO REFUNDS, STORE CREDIT ONLY. I've shopped at Potlatch for 30 years..20 of them while living in Incline. I've never been treated so poorly as I was by the clerk I had for the purchase.
