I recently rented a cargo van from U-Haul for the first time, and the entire process was incredibly smooth and fast. All I needed was my current driver’s license and a debit card, which made things so easy. The online reservation was simple, and when I arrived, the staff was friendly and efficient. They got me set up in no time, and the van itself was clean, well-maintained, and perfect for the job. I really appreciated how straightforward and hassle-free the experience was. I’ll definitely consider U-Haul again for future rentals!

It was quick and easy. I was able to book the truck within few minutes and I was able to pick the truck within 1 hour:

I didn't give 5 star rating because the mobile app didn't work wile returning the truck. There were a couple of issues:
1. While going through the return flow, if you change the orientation of your phone then you have to go through restart the process again. It was annoying. I hope UHaul will fix this problem soon.
2. I ran into another problem at the very last step of return process, the application will wait for ever mentioning that it is updating the backend. It never moved forward to the final step. I tried at least 3 times and got the same issue. Finally, I had to return home without completing the process. Next day, UHaul representative mentioned that I could have called them and mentioned about this issue.

Got a hitch and wiring installed on my luxury SUV at this uhaul. The whole process was a breeze, the drop off took one minute and the pickup was equally easy, the installation looked flawless. The price is very reasonable and I love how transparent and upfront the pricing is. Definitely recommend!

This Uhaul location failed me the day before my move to a different city.

The day before I was set to pick up a truck to move myself to a completely different city, the Uhaul at 4833 Thornton Ave called to tell me my truck was no longer available and that I'd have to go somewhere else, 10 miles away. Mind you this new location is off 880 and I'm supposed to pick this truck up during morning commute.

It delayed my schedule *by hours* and I had to unload all of my belongings in the dark in a new city.

The best part is their response when I was understandably upset and asked for some kind of compensation: "it was in your contract." Well, I guess that's technically true, but is it worth totally alienating a paying customer? Apparently it is.

They will leave you in the lurch.

Best staff experience. Rented a trailer today, and for some reason my electrical system didn't work with the trailer. The staff and the general manager took their time to diagnosis my car, and was able to help me install a component to get it to work. It was a very hot day, but I really appreciate their time and patience to assist me as a customer. Definitely the best experience I had at a Uhaul location. Highly highly recommend this location for their expertise and customer care. Thank you!

They tell you a price, twice mind you, then give you another when you get there. Not to mention the absolutely terrible customer service from the perfect representation of generation Z. And of course no name tags to mention them by name. Then add all the insurance. Take advantage of you.
