Oh my Dogness!🐶🐾The Unique Boutique and the boho hippie proprietress, Vivian, ROCKED MY WORLD.💃🏼🙅🏼‍♀️ I could have looked through the varied (some super eccentric) clothing pieces suitable for anything from couch rotting at home to costume parties to fancy black tie soirées.🥂🍾🎉🎁
Additionally, the fun, vintage and RARE trinkets, tchotchkes and accessories (hats, wigs, jewelry, purses, totes, scarves, shoes and hair accessories) were a joy to discover.📿👒🎩👠🥿👞👡👢🕶️🪩🩰👛👜 🧣🧤🧦🪭🏮🔍🌂🎒👓⛳️🛼🕯️🔮🗝️

Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls of all ages, and friends beyond the Binary, this semi-hidden gem is a must stop and behold! Be warned though the Unique Boutique earned its name. With the Truckee River as a backdrop, for 30 years the Unique Boutique has housed things from times when your fingers had to do the walking, long before “the Google”.

Question, do you know that feeling where you’re smiling and can’t stop? This feeling greets you at the door! This is when you realize this is more than a boutique it’s an entire experience, one that will usher in every drop of your presence to be in the place at that moment.

This wonderland atmosphere is all made possible by its Creator/Owner Viviane 🤩!! Her energy is contagious and her spirit is like a needle in a haystack, hard to find but worth the search. So if you’re in the mood to shop or just be present, there’s something here that will put a gigantic smile on your face, and that’s worth the time you invest here. Check out what we found ⤵️

Vivienne is amazing, the store is full of trinkets, clothing, and beautiful items. I’ve spent hours there just looking at everything and trying things on. My favorite vintage clothing store, maybe of all time, and vivienne is just so kind. Plus she has an adorable dog that sits on his own chair.

I’ve driven by the front side of this building 50 times and never though much about what lays inside, but we needed some last minute outfits for a disco themed dance night. Once you round the corner and step inside, it’s a wholllllllle amazing world. Easily the best vintage store I’ve ever been to in the world, Viviane’s got such an incredible eye and eclectic taste that we spend nearly two hours giggling and astounded at the options we had to choose from. Viviane was an incredible help is sussing out options, pulling accessories, and clearly knows every item in the store from front to back. Couldn’t have imagined having a better time. And we got compliments on our outfits (and dancing) all night long 🙂

Oh my dear! I had driven past this place a hundred times and never noticed that it was there. WELL! I finally noticed the sign along West River.i drove onto the store property and before I left my car, I was in love. I did leave my car and the sweetness of this place was only surpassed by the owner, Viviane. She is fluent in the language of vintage and knows the story behind each of her items.. there is a lot to take in...it is the kind if place where you never see all her wonderful merchandise, even if you spent the whole day in Vivian's Vintage Heaven.

I have tried to come here 5+ times (in winter and summer) but every time this shop is closed, even though the hours are on google. Do not trust the hours online, it seems to be just whenever she wants the store to be open - it is! Real bummer because it looks cool!

Absolutely wonderful boutique. I walked in a stranger and walked out with a whole new friend in Vivian. She's a simply lovely person. I found several new favorite clothing items which is saying a lot because I'm very picky when it comes to clothing. I will definitely come back here
