Router needs to be reset every night to maintain stable internet. 150mbs, but I only get 18mbs when downloading. Doesn't allow for multiple streaming devices. When downloading on computer, the streaming on the TV is stuck in buffer, not good if you have just 1 roommate. Ive been told its because i live in an apartment complex, and im sharing bandwith. Still, somehow ill pay the same amount that a home will pay that doesnt share the bandwith. Kinda means that the complex should be updated, or the cost should be reduced for those living in the complex. Fiber has also been run through the town, but these cable companys are sitting on their hands keeping weaverville internet 20 years behind instead of tapping into it. They Need to update the infrastructure of trinity countys main hub, but whether this town is lacking county money, or it's ambivalence nothings getting done. Only other option is to get starlink, but that's a year wait and hundreds of dollars. Unfortunately, this is the best option this small town has to offer and it's inconsistent potato internet. Potential is within reach, but there seems to be a lack of ambition to get the internet updated. 18mbs downloads in 2024. I experienced simliar internet when I was in Afghanistan in 2009 using satellite.

I have been using Velocity's cable internet for almost a year now. The Internet has been reliable and the customer service has been pretty good every time I called them.

Have had both their fixed wireless out in Douglas City and their cable internet in Weaverville, both were exceptional and stable as well as cost affective. The staff and tech support are local so im supporting the local community. The few issues I have had have been quickly addressed within a few minutes and hardware install is within a day or two as opposed to Comcast I had in Petaluma (it was a two week turn around for a simple swap out!!). Excellent service, cannot recommend more. Pic is with multiple Alexas, xbox/playstation and Apple TV streaming - taken from a laptop.

Our service was installed almost two years ago. Very able and friendly installer. We've had one day that service was down in that entire time. Now upgrading at no cost, and they are coming out today to put in the new modem. We are 100% satisfied with all aspects of service!

Do not waste your time with this company. They say they offer high speed internet but then always have an excuse as to why you can't get it in your area. I ordered the premium package and the best they could give me was basic, which is actually slower than dial-up when it can be bothered to connect at all. They have said they'd send a tech out, and they never did. They said they would set up an online account so I could monitor my bills, and they never did. Then the billing issues started. After they downgraded me to basic, there was a credit on my account. So the next month I called to ask how much to pay after the credit, and then paid the amount with my debit card right then over the phone. Got my receipt in my email saying I'd paid in full. Next month comes and I had to mail them a MO due to a payroll issue. I get my receipt in my email, and she only credited me for part of the amount of the money order. I brought this to her attention and even emailed her a copy of the previous emailed receipt showing a zero balance on my account. She said it was a credit at first, even though the emailed invoice/receipt showed I owed that amount, then switched back to that amount is still due after I told her to cancel my service. Every time I call, there is a baby crying in the background. It's obvious that it's a home-run business with only two employees, and that they don't know how to use their accounting software and try to fob it off on their customers. Buyer beware! If I could give them fewer stars I would.

I've had this internet service for over a year a few months. For a time I forgot what internet provider was as it was taken out of my bank acct automatically and have never had an issue with this company. Before this service for internet I had Hughesnet which was total utter crap.! I was going to watch a 3rd Netflix show on my 2nd day of internet is when it crapped out, making it completely useless. I was informed by customer care that I needed to purchase some tokens unacceptable when I gave them a good hard earned money and didn't get what I paid for. I got my refund from Hughesnet and under a week I had switched over to Velocity.

These guys are the best, any time you have an issue they are quick to jump on it and are extremely polite. I've had service through other ISPs in larger towns whos advertised speeds never seem to match what is delivered to the user, but not with Velocity. I have nothing but respect and gratitude for John and Travis for the service they provide to our rural community. Thanks guys, for everything!
