Whitcombe ReBooted

I went into this place several months ago. I brought my Justin boots in that had torn out on the sides. I asked if he could repair them and he said it couldn’t be done. Couldn’t. Be. Done. Mind you, I had a saddle shop do the same stitch repair in the photos on a previous set of boots. But Whitcombe ReBooted said they could NOT be repaired. Well, I just bought a $7 leather sewing kit on Amazon and tried my hand at it and I think it turned out pretty good for an impossible repair done by a novice!

This guy has NO CLUE what he's doing. I took my cowboy boots in to be re-soled & told him I wanted a full re-sole all the way back to the heel (the way a cowboy boot should be done). He glued a thin piece of leather to the sole (took him almost a month), within 3 days I had them back in again because they were coming apart; hhe then nailed them on. It's been less than 6 months & I need my boots done again as I have walked thru his "fix" and have holes in the soles again. Wish Mr. Walt was still in business, he knew how to re-sole cowboy boots. If I could give no stars, I would. Wish I could add photos.

I started as a Wildland firefighter last minute for the season and didn’t have boots that fit me. Whitcombe worked with me personally to order boots through the White’s rep so I didn’t have to suffer my fire season in too big boots. They worked quick, had good communication with me and were all around pleasant to work with. Huge fan of Whitcombe boots and if any ladies need wildfire boots this is the place to go.

I took in a pair of ostrich skin boots that needed a new sole and he made them look brand new. It was very reasonable and quick.
