Oh my goodness!!! New to the area and am so glad my mechanic asked if I’d stopped by here yet. Picked up a dozen of the best doughnuts that I have EVER had, ate two, and dropped the rest off at my mechanic’s.
This will most certainly be a place that I being my friends when they come visit me.

This is a pretty much a hometown staple. The Mennonite Bake shop has a great variety of delicious homemade goodies, and sells great sandwiches as well. The prices have increased post-covid, but so has everywhere else, even with the increase, it's still a great deal. They have a homemade chicken salad that is scrumptious. Along with their pies, cuppies, and cakes, they also make homemade donuts, but you have to get there early as the sell out fast! The decor is cozy, country kitschy and full of artwork that is for sale. The service is good, and the food is fresh. If you are in South Boston, stop in and give it a try.

Awesome food, service and atmosphere. We got sandwiches and a dozen coconut donuts. We come from Raleigh every few months for a leg in a day trip somewhere.

I've been to this shop a few times, only for baked goods. So far they've been inconsistent - I can order the same item and it will be a little different each time. I would love it if my favorites always tasted the same.

As soon as you walk through the door the smells grab you and make you feel right at home. Some of the best chicken salad I have ever eaten. Wait....the brownies....I can not say enough about them. The donuts are light and fluffy and just plain goodness. They even make their own bread for the delicious sandwiches that you can get made to order. Just go and check them out for yourself. So many goodies in this little shop. I almost forgot...their homemade jams and preserves are chef's kiss.

Small, ordinary shop in a strip shopping mall. Earlier today I had one of the best sandwich's ever from this bakery. Turkey, ham, swiss cheese, tomato, onion, mayo, pickle on whole wheat bread. All ingredients were fresh and offered a distinct flavor, well-constructed and delicious. They did not skimp on the portions. When I am back in the area I will buy another sandwich from them. The food was so good, the staff was friendly and efficient with a pleasant atmosphere and the sandwich was a reasonable price. Wish that the bakery was closer to me.
