The assistant store manager is incredibly rude and unhelpful. It was my first time doing a return at Zara and I was there with my 5 kids including a new born. Apparently they have a 30 day return policy and no longer offer store credit. Iā€™m completely shocked by this policy. In this day and age retuning should not be so hard. I had my receipt in hand, it was 3 items totaling about $150, and I purchased on May 29, 2024ā€¦ less than 60 days before attempted to return. Like many moms with young kids, I bought items to try on at home and then return. It was very disappointing and the assistant store manager seemed to smirk when I asked for help with the return.

If there would be a minus one star, that would be the score I would qualify for their service. I tried to exchange I bought a day before and they did not process the exchange arguing that there is one tag missing, but the tag was not there when I got the item. How am I supposed to check if there is every single tag I definitely won't buy here again!

The management is the worse. Not helpful at all. Super dismissive. Definitely a clerk. No skills at management, no desire to be helpful, and needs to be fired. Horrible horrible.

This store is very messy, tables are always a disaster, it doesnā€™t matter what time of the day I go (when they just opened, or at lunch time or afternoonā€¦).
I always go on ā€œweekdaysā€, when the store supposed to look the best and neat. I donā€™t even want to think or see how the store looks on weekends and when it is crowded.
Some of this store employees are not super friendly either.
Very unfortunately, this location is very close to my house, but I rather shop online.

Update! Went back again yesterday to return few items that I bought online and I didnā€™t even try them on, the box didnā€™t even make it inside my house 2 hours before I went to the storeā€¦ and the clerk had ā€œcero customer service skillsā€!!! And give me a hard time with one of the returns (unworn, with tags, I just got it on the mail 2 hours before), I couldnā€™t believe it! Very disappointing!
The store was very messy, clothes on the floor, tables were disasterā€¦

When you buy here, double check all tags in the item youā€™re buying, later if you need to exchange or return they will come out with bllsht the item has a manufactured tag missingā€¦ The staff is the worse! Will never comeback!

worst most ill mannered staff, not sure how they work a customer facing job. Not helpful and Iā€™ve had my issue resolved at a different Zara location seamlessly. Poor management here.

I had the worst experience ever at this Zara's. First the children's section was a mess and looked like it had not been kept up all day. They had clearance racks all messed up and all over the place. My daughter finally found some pants she liked that were clearly on the clearance rack with a discount sticker on it. When we went to the register the line was so long with only one register open while the other employees were walking around and a few of them were just standing in the back of the store talking. When it was finally my turn at the register, the cashier said he needed a price adjustment approval from the manager since the pants rung up regular price.

The cashier was talking to the manager over the phone and said "yes it looks legit". When the manager Martin came up and looked at the tag and said "well we have not had a price adjustment in a while and I'm not saying you put this sicker on here, but I'm not going to be able to adjust the price, sorry."

I told him where "I found it and that there was a whole rack of clearance clothes and I can show you where I found them."

He said no you don't have to show me I'm sorry, but these are not on sale" and ripped the tag off in front of me. I was so embarrassed and my daughter was so sad and she said "mom does he think we did that, we literally walked in and grabbed them from the rack". I cannot tell you how ridiculous this guy was and extremely unprofessional.

I asked for the customer service number and I called and complained. I asked if there was anyone else I can speak with and he said no that he was the Director and rolled his eyes at me and walked away.

I can say this...I was a manager in retail for years and the Manager at this Zara's "Martin" was an absolutely horrible manager and had zero customer service. He clearly doesn't know how to manage the store as it was a mess and had a bunch of the employees talking and not working in the back while the lines were practically out the door.

To have the audacity to accuse me of putting a sales sticker on the pants is unbelievable. He needs to be removed as a manager because he is not the kind of representation any store would want. My daughter was so embarrassed that he said that in front of the rest of the customers. Absolutely horrific shopping experience.

Terrible customer service!! Fitting rooms were closed when visiting Zara Thousand Oaks, but to make matters worse their employee was incredibly rude when informing me of the fitting room situation. I understand being short staffed, but there is no need to be unkind. Yikes. Do better Zara!!
