A must stop whenever I’m in Julian! The owners Jess and Shannon are so sweet and kind and put out amazing products. I’m always using the soap they make it’s so creamy and smells good and I also love the facial products and also muscle rub! I recommend everyone to check out this shop. There’s something for everyone for sure and they also support other small makers as well!

First of all, I love the products. I get the gift box and am always impressed by the quality of hand made products, but also the value sizing. All the oil based products last at least a year.
Secondly, the customer service is phenomenal. I’ve had to add products, change credit cards, gift boxes out of state, and have always received the utmost respect, attention to detail, and sincere friendliness.

Crow and Lilac is a one of a kind store. They offer the BEST natural self care products. Once you try their handmade bar soaps and lotions, you’ll never want go back to using the mainstream stuff. You can also find other handmade items like candles, jewelry, ceramics, essential oil blends and art. It’s a very warm and inviting store, there’s a lot to see, so take your time browsing.

Bought a charcoal soap from here, wonderful smell and cleaning feel. Wished I would have bought the orange soap as well :P. Nice people, nice skin care products. The store had a pleasant and NOT over powering smell (I could smell individual soaps). Stop by if you like Lush.

When visiting Julian, I had expected more local artisan shops that sold unique items, but didn't find that to be the case. There are some cool shops, but for the most part they sell a lot of things you can find anywhere. Thankfully, there is the Crow and Lilac Gallery and Boutique!

Whether you're looking for soups, lotions, candles, clothing, jewelry, pottery or various types of artwork in all different styles, this shop has it hand made by it's owner. While they do have some things by other artists, the items are overwhelmingly created by the shop's owner... and it is AMAZING to see how one enormously talented woman can create so many diversely different things. Even her art style is amazingly diverse to the point where you really think separate artworks are made by different artists.

She had these amazing wall vases made of pottery that were simply amazing.

Full disclosure... this shop isn't huge... but for it's size, you'll be in there longer than you would any other boutique this size as her items are so interesting and unique.

I don't know about you... but when I go for a weekend getaway or vacation, I don't want to buy something that I can get down the road from where I live. I want to look at unique items you can only get in the place you're visiting, and this is one of the few places in Julian that you're going to get that. In additional to that, excellent service and fantastic prices for the love and talent that goes into everything. Enjoy!!!

Great products made by great people. Personal favorites include soap bars, beard oil, after sun spray, and the pine tar hand salve.
