During my recent visit to the Walmart in Tracy for an oil change, I was met with a notably long wait time. I find this not to be uncommon for such services, especially on weekends when many people opt to handle errands. While the reception area was filled with other customers also waiting for their vehicles, everybody was true in th vibe that there was some sense of collective anticipation. While the long wait was not ideal, it was somewhat expected how busy their auto care center gets before closing mind you I parked my car at 5:15pm) I took this time to browse through some items for my car, and catching up on this detailed review.

Despite the lengthy delay, the staff at the Walmart Auto Care Center demonstrated commendable customer service. From the moment I checked in, the employees were courteous and matched the vibe that I was in, ensuring that I was informed about the expected wait time and apologizing for any inconvenience. They addressed with me any specific concerns I had regarding my vehicle, offering reassurance that every car gets thorough attention. Though rushing because it was near closing time, they kept their demeanor and professionalism were refreshing amidst the typical chaos of retail environments. They even checked in periodically to update me on the progress, which personalized the experience and reminded me of their dedication.

However, the behavior of some other customers during the wait was less than ideal. A few were notably inconsiderate, raising their voices to express dissatisfaction over the delay without acknowledging the evident effort from the staff. Their impatience created an unpleasant atmosphere, making the wait feel even longer. These individuals seemed oblivious to the fact that all customers were in the same situation, contributing to the noise and tension in the waiting area. Their obnoxiousness tarnished the otherwise professional environment, causing unnecessary stress for both the staff and fellow customers.

Despite this, the staff's professionalism served as a stark contrast to the rudeness of these customers, maintaining a level of calm and efficiency that helped to manage the situation effectively. If you want to get your oil change here for cheap, I'd definitely come to this location for future repairs and all that! (An appointment is recommended, but you know what they say...)

Walmart auto Care Center changed my car tires and they didn’t balance the new tire. When I drove the car, I came back and ask them that they didn’t balanced the new tires because the tires are shaking on the freeway after 60 mph. And they become mad and say that all we can do, we can’t balance the tire again and again. I told the guy that no one balance the tires. If some one balance the tire, it will not shake when you drive the care. He said we can’t balance it again. And he said go and communicate with Walmart Auto Care center management. I didn’t want to make the scene and I left. I know the person, but I don’t wanna mention the name of the person who did this with Walmart and me. It’s not a person. It’s a business.

Now I went to other business and they charge me $80 for balancing the tires. which I already paid to Walmart for the balance of the tire and it has lifetime tire rotation, but they’re not doing their job and there is no management . Every worker in Walmart Auto care center need that other worker will be responsible not me. Everyone is running from responsibility. so there is no management at all. Really good business and I am going to Walmart from long time, but I took care center need more attention and some changes. I asked for attached the invoices that I paid to other business.

Left a car for new tires 3pm
They called an hour later to tell them where the wheel lock was & never called us back if they found it or if the car was ready !! I called few times but no one answered. So I didn’t go sine I don’t know if the car was ready
The 2nd Day I went there I saw they put the new tire set the day before but never call us or answered the calls from me
Also look at the pictures how the tires were looking before I picked it up

Terrible Customer Service!

I called at 9:41 AM and spoke with Yousaf about my appointment to get four new tires. He changed my appointment to 3 PM on Monday. When I arrived, the manager rudely told me I didn’t have an appointment. I’m furious—why was I told to come if they couldn’t honor it? I wasted 2 hours of my time and had to cancel a doctor’s appointment for this. Such careless, unprofessional behavior from the staff and manager Erin . Walmart needs to take action and hire people who know how to treat customers with respect! Must fired Erin hired someone who talk nicely and respectful

To the managers at this Walmart!!!
Your service center is running so slow and killing customers and their time.
No one take care of oil change for hours customer remains behind the window waiting for their oil change to get done.they get paid but not working honestly.
Customers don’t have to spend the whole day waiting for oil change! Come on managers please supervise this area

Tracy ca Walmart auto center has an employee that is a true MVP. She goes by the name of Erin. She is an amazing person that is beyond helpful. She helps customers all day long and is always helping other employees. They even call her on her day off! She should be compensated for her abilities and dedication!

Worst experience ever
Got new tire for passenger front with Hazzard on 10/12/2022.
Soon after the new tire installation "TPMS" sign on my dashboard kept blinking.
Even after the TPMS calibration the light came back.
Visited Walmart Tracy almost every week, technicians refused to help and kept blaming the car.
On top of that the crazy supervisor, The rudest person I've met.
Finally after being tired of Walmart took my car too America's tire across street from Walmart. Within minutes to figure out the tire that was installed is the wrong size (215) and all the rest three tires were (225)
Very kind of America's tire they didn't charge me anything for inspection but they recommend me going back to Walmart and getting it corrected.
On Thursday I come to Walmart and ask the associate if he can fix the issue, associate tries but couldn't find the receipt in the system, making me feel like I have installed the tire somewhere else and not Walmart.

I go home hunt for all the receipts, then go back to Walmart today morning.
Tire was not damaged until now, as soon as I reach Walmart one of the technician approaches and tells me the tire seems to be damaged and even though I have road hazard they won't be able to fix it.
It's been 3 months I've been going to Walmart and begging them to fix the issue but no one seems to be helping.

I keep asking questions to the supervisor and he gets upset with no answers. He offers me to pay half price on a new right size tire, and I tried to find out who is responsible for putting a wrong tire on my car and now why would I pay a price for that ?
The supervisor got really upset and kept raising his voice and threaten me off calling the security.
He comes back and tells me that he won't be able to help me with my car and I need to go some other place to fix it.

Things I've learned-
1- Always save your receipts.
2- Even that is not your job but make sure correct part/ tire is installed
3- Even if Walmart representatives make mistakes do not confront them or you will be threatened of security and denied to help.

Not sure what to do next, My car is not fixed yet and Tracy Walmart refuses to help.

There are a lot of senior lube technicians working and doing oil change, it’s kind slow and frustrated as the time ticking forward. They put Toyota van and ford mustang ahead Even though I’m there first. It’s kind like a double standard to me. I will not recommend this Walmart lube oil change to anyone out there and I am going to different oil change company out there next time
